U should play persona 5 , trails of cold steel series and shin megumi tensei bro .. Honkai star rail is good but this game is bad if u are just getting into turn based rpg ...
Listen to the guy above me, this game is pretty bad, you can only do 2 moves so everything revolves around your stats. Mixed that with the fact that it's gatcha, it's just 2 things that you don't want to be together. Genshin Impact is pretty unique and the elemental reaction system is pretty original, but there's nothing ground breaking about this one. Mtashed is paid by Mihoyo probably to promote this game, I've seen Mihoyo ads way too many times with this guy's face. If you want a good turn based, Persona 5, or even monster hunter stories 2 is where you should be looking at.
@@jenemba3 are u fukin crazy or u totally new to gaming and stuff specially turn based 😂 I never say it's a bad game but it's a totally bad game to get into turn based ... if you got Seele hold your wishes till Silver Wolf she will be a big long term wish as she can impose the Weakness of a random ally's Type on the target for 3 turn(s) and reduce the target's DMG RES to that Weakness Type by 20%. she will make Seele brake everything
She's already been confirmed to have been changed. These are her CBT2 changes and she wasn't even in CBT3. Save your pulls if you got Seele because honestly, there's nothing else to pull right now, but we have no idea what she's going to be like now.
@@tehpyono2203 I'd take it with a grain of salt since they kept the intro the same since the CBTs. Balancing the intro/tutorial characters would be a waste of effort since they wouldn't be released for a while.
Not gonna lie, I'm super excited to use you for guides again after Genshin! When starting out in a new game I have trouble understanding all the moving parts and you break it all down so well for beginners! Your early Genshin guides were SUPER helpful, and now I'm here for HSR too! Thank you!!❤
One of the best tips i have gotten so far. Where everyone is talking about gacha and 5* characters. Tashman is giving best advice for all F2P's. I'm proud of him that he can whale on this game but he decided to go F2p.
Seele with high Speed can actually act twice in the first turn if you use her skill the first time she’s around. You want to pump Speed into her so that you act a second time after all enemies got weakened by your Erudition/Destruction and your supports. That way you can maximise ReSurgence activations.
Yeah, SPD is key with her. Why Bronya & Asta are quite popular with dps options such as Seele who is a literal speed demon. SPD bost can often help out for other characters as my Trailbrazer is a slow mfer, but Bronya shifts them around so I have found an appreciation for SPD boost.
she’s probably better with an attack piece though because of all the speed she already has and the higher damage is more valuable than one or two extra attacks per battle
Her 4 turn rotation is crazy. There's a few simulation buffs that make her completely break the game. Name the one that gives fu energy on kill, can just spam ult and nuke everything. Also a few other ones that restore health or advance next turn on kill or ult kill. Just makes it insane
Notably with Speed tuning it can be good to have Dan Heng be faster than your support because ideally you want to use his skill to inflict slow, buff him to activate his passive, and then use his ultimate. If you have the support first you can end up where you can’t buff him between using his skill and his ultimate and the resistance penetration from his talent will be far less useful
This has got to be the most helpful HSR video Ive ever watched. Not only do tell us what to do, but you tell us why, and you also share examples or personally experience. It's super helpful. Deserved my subscription and like. Your work here is deeply appreciated! ❤️
As a note, if you don't have a really good multi-eidolon physical damage dealer, the eidolons for MC are easy enough to get that I wouldn't say that MC Physical is bad at all. Very good actually, high crit potential and decent AOE options. If you've got Clara or a high-Eidolon Sushang, obviously knock yourself out, but if your options are limited, MC Physical definitely puts in overtime if you build him up so don't be afraid to do so. His ult is a very solid bonk for chunking high-HP enemies, even when they aren't in break. There's better options but MC Physical is rarely bad, where elemental DPS can often be quite bad situationally. My guaranteed five star was Gaspard, he slams down nutty shields team wide. Very nice.
Love this. Lots of little things I hadn't considered yet. I also love the way skill synergy can work in this game, like asta and welt playing off each other with slow and speed

Dude, thank you so much! I was a little overwhelmed with the new stuff. But now following what you say. I’m now feels more comfortable on what I am doing. I may not have 5 stars yet but I’m managing. 😊 keep the great contents up my guy!
For my free to play players. I also recommend saving your pulls for a character you actually like. Makes the game more fun down the road (if that matters of course, if you just like strong characters. Thats cool, i prefer it if i like the character more than the power)
Yep... I think it's more fun that way too. Even though the character isn't super good, I'll still go there and up as far as I can. I think this is why my progress in gacha games is slower than normal😅😅😅
Think it helps that a lot of the introduction characters are very good at what they do, including the MC (both physical and fire have their role). Lot less pressure to pull when you have options to work with.

also for new players, there is a few quests that you unlock that seem like they have no rewards, (one is on herta's ship, other two are on the first planet after you finish main story there) if you start them then you'll get 3 challanges to do and you'll get a full set of artifacts from this + 180 jades
One useful info I found is that in the simulated universe if a boss is getter the better of you and you are losing, you can close out of the app and you will load back in in front of the boss and you can try again without going through the entirety of the world again.
Great video. Thank you in particular for shouting out the relics. I'd been sitting on my 4-star relic set from the coin shop and struggling with the Metaverse (you know) level 2. Not anymore! I got lucky with my cloak with the crit rate. Now Clara, who was hitting for 300, is doing 2.5-4k. Just insane.

I spent about 90 australian dollars in total in Genshin (and no more) throughout the 3 years I've been playing the game, and I think I can safely say I've grown out of it. Thanks for all your help mtash, I followed your advice on pulls. Got yanqing from normal. Got seele from her banner and just finished starter banner and got Clara. Also pulled some great 4 star. Now to decide how to use them all. Also I'm f2p
Since buffs usually only last for 1 or 2 turns, i feel like intentionally sacrificing speed on your dps to keep your supports ahead could work against you eventually with enemies that could be faster
Most players haven't unlocked bosses yet. And that's okay, take your time and have fun, don't rush or you'll burn out. FOMO can ruin the whole game if you take it too seriously.
This games a lot of fun. I'll wait for console release before I start to get handcore into it with weekly events and spending my "resin" with bosses etc. As someone who would normally play one day on my day off work being able to grind on the rogue like seems really fun
for the world shops i recommend buying adventure logs or condensed aether LAST getting the first 95% of the currency is quite easy if you run trough the maps and talk wiht everyone/do all the missions but getting the last 5% is quite hard and annoying. and if you buy anything except the very expensive shadow of destruction you may be quite frustrated and the shop is one of the best ways to get traces
Hey man, in 17:11 i got himeko on the standard 1 pull, and i finished the 50/50 beginner summon and i got himeko again... Now i have her in e1 and wow she's popping off with the increase spd on her e1, at first im kinda down that i got her because she's not my favorite character and her dupe but now i think im having fun using her
I got Himeko really early in game, and Herta. They both coordinate their follow up attacks and do a ton of damage. I'm TL 39 now and I can pretty much one shot groups of enemies with them just with their follow up attacks (non-boss battles). It becomes even more fun with all the buffs to follow up attacks in Simulated Universe lol.

Thanks for all your help mtash, I followed your advice on pulls. Got yanqing from normal. Got seele from her banner and just finished starter banner and got Clara. Also pulled some great 4 star. Now to decide how to use them all. Also I'm f2p
yours are the guides i'm following, and so far it's the most detailed and the most helpful for me. keep it up
Perfect beginners Guide Dude! Thank you! 👊🙂
What a great guide! now this is what i signed up for when subscribing to mtashed
thanks for the rips mtashed, as always. been really enjoying the game
He must be playing like, 12 hours a day or something.
This was really helpful!
This games a lot of fun. I'll wait for console release before I start to get handcore into it with weekly events and spending my "resin" with bosses etc. As someone who would normally play one day on my day off work being able to grind on the rogue like seems really fun
Thank you this tips really helped me out
The best one to explain pro tips of games 🔥
Havent played Honkai Star Rail, just here to support the content
for the world shops
i recommend buying adventure logs or condensed aether LAST
getting the first 95% of the currency is quite easy if you run trough the maps and talk wiht everyone/do all the missions
but getting the last 5% is quite hard and annoying.
and if you buy anything except the very expensive shadow of destruction you may be quite frustrated
and the shop is one of the best ways to get traces
It’s nice seeing mtashed not complaining.
Loving the star rail content.
I trust your tips, I've been listening to your advice since I started playing genshin and it helps alot, thanks
Here we go again! Let the grind begin. 🥰
The Last Gamurai approves this guide
Good content as always.
I love your content, this is really fun
great tips, good video, i'm putting some into action right now :)
