Laos is a beautiful country spent ten days last year, and I enjoyed Luang Prabang but Vang Vein was my favorite. Make sure you go to the many caves and ziplining it is well worth it.

Let’s be honest, any place where people ride elephants is not very ethical. Real elephant sanctuary dont do that
Ridiculous. Elephants in that part of the world have been used in war, as bulldozers for construction, for transportation, for hundreds if not thousands of years. Its not dissimilar to the way horses have been used in the west.

Not sure why riding elephants is unethical as long as the elephants are treated humanely. People ride horses and no one says anything.

At 4:23, why is there bombing footage in the midst of the Plain of Jars section?
The Plain of Jars was heavily bombed during the 1960s, hence when we say 'mysterious past' we use that footage to illustrate.
