Something about the aether universe is just so nostalgic, the almost AOTL cross power rangers character design in a classic rpg skin thrown into a number of different genres makes me inexplicably warm and excited.
It’s so cool seeing a franchise coming out with its own spin offs. I personally really enjoy Rivals of Aether and the little bit of the world it showed. Seeing more come of it is exciting and I hope the devs continue to add on to it.
@@milorubio5987 lmao why are you so pressed about someone else?? what a weird ass comment to make on someone's bad day and them expressing joy for a content creator they like. it's especially weird if you dont even know them like... lol. you sound like a real gem of a person 🙄and i hope that sarcasm is palpable

I was complaining that recently there aren't any games that would catch my attention at all recently but it seems Dungeons of Aether is something that I was waiting for all this time! Definitely buying it on release. Maybe it will also bring me some inspiration, as I'm currently working on dice-based dungeon crawler myself
This is definitely a neat little strategy game. The mechanics aren't _too_ complicated but they also have a lot of depth to them to make for some interesting battles. Although you definitely have to keep an eye on all your equipment and stats as even a single misstep could cost you a battle.
I feel like this will be at the very least a very competent roguelite, just like Rivals of Aether is a very competent smash-clone. If you're a furry that's into roguelites this just seems like a 9/10 game straight of the bat.
Holy crap. I need more games set in this universe that aren’t just platform fighters (though I’m hyped for Rivals 2) . I love the art style of this one.
Great looking game, the only thing i would change really about the UI is including icons to show off the state of the board as you draft. Maybe move down the actual dice draft and up icons showing showing who is connecting, faster, ect.
Just from looking from the whole tutorial. It looks interesting. I could see Yacht Club Games having a few Shovel Knight characters make an appearance in this.
Man, the furry art might not be for everyone, but you can't look at this gorgeous pixel art and say it looks bad. It's so crisp and cute. It even comes with solid gameplay, which is even better. It'll be interesting to see how the game evolves mechanically. Hopefully we'll see at the very least a mini-series on this, I might also pick it up myself.
The demo is just the tutorial? That's...a little disappointing honestly! Well, I'm glad it's out in 2 weeks, it's going straight on my wishlist. Thanks Reto, I had completely forgotten this was coming out until today!
Why is green called ACCuracy, if it has nothing to do with accuracy and all it does is give you access to higher-tier skills? It should be named TEC or SKL or something - wasn't it called that in the alpha version?
It's because of the original jam game, Malleus Goblificarum, from which the mechanics are derived, had you target body parts instead of having different skills, with accuracy letting you target more body parts.
@@FlamingKetchup Still, that's something that should probably be changed in the final release. Accuracy letting you use better abilities just doesn't make much sense.
@@Nauriek If you try to cast a skill you don't have the ACC for, you'll miss or the enemy will dodge, can't remember which. Same effect though. It's only an issue if you misclick or the enemy drops your ACC.
I have a lot of mixed feelings on this game. Depending on the opponents, this game is either fun or frustrating. A lot of the normal enemies are fun to fight because you can legitimately strategize against them, but some of the stronger enemies and the first boss are slogs if you don't have proper set up, with Necromancer being virtually impossible to beat without god-tier set-up, and getting that kind of set-up feels luck based rather than skill based.
Nice graphics, but the gameplay im just not a big fan.. to fight you need a dice? thats weird and slow! this game would be better if they made it just a regulat beat em up game! im not a big fan of Dice games.

been waiting on this since they announced, thanks for letting me know it's out! Those animations looked marvelous!
Having a rough day, and your videos are definitely helping me to not focus on it. Thanks for all the content you make

this game looks fire and has some pretty nice mechanics, would love to see more of it
I'm buying it as soon as it comes out on steam.
Would love to see at least a mini series on full release! ♥

Fun fact: the mechanics for this game come from Malleus Goblinficarium, which was made by one of the lead devs a couple of years ago
This game looks amazing! Definitely adding it to my wishlist.
same
I normally don't go for super simplistic strategy games, but this has a lot of appeal! I could see really enjoying myself with this 🙂

May not be for everyone but it certainly is for me, the art is so cute!
I mean I'm guessing furries will have a field day with this one.
Boo! Ended to early!
I hope you'll play some more when it comes out, i'd love to see more of it
6-pack abs on anthropomorphic sharks are a lot more common than you know. 😅
Good lord, is this game just Oozing with charm!
very excited for this games release!
Nice game concept. The game rewards taking from the enemy.
The animations are beautiful
Hey Retro, not sure if you saw the Death or Treat demo release yet but it's a solid game you could try if you feel like it!
The sound definitely like it's coming from gba game. And the graphic style like an upgrade from gba game too. Nice!

10:56. You're not actually rolling ones, that's a tutorial, the results are predetermined.
The Intro and GFX give me strong Alex the Kid vibes
Man, and I thought it had interesting mechanics before we even got the die 😂
He an other Aether Game :D. I Remember the last on i Played it gave me a Really Long Snake.
So its basically malleus goblinficarium but rivals of aether interesting.
Steam next fest is such a tease!
This comes out tomorrow and I'm going broke once it releases.
It's tomorrow and I don't have any money.
Love aether
Game mechanics remind one card dungeon boardgame
my only complaint is no mage character 😅
man dan fornace is spreading out the rivals world
Music and character design reminds me of mega man
