Dungeon Drafters is a world where magic is cards and cards are magic. Play as a young adventurer, eager to explore ancient dungeons and find long-forgotten cards to build the legendary spell deck that could defeat the one wielding the forbidden cards the entire world fears!

Hey there! It's me again, Lucas Demo, tech artist of Dungeon Drafters ✌
First of all, I'd like to say that I truly love watching you play - the gameplay and commentary are always so clever and spot-on! The game is going to be released quite soon. Despite the short demo, the final release is gigantic and we've been playtesting a final version with Kickstarter backers recently. At this moment we are working on changes based on recent feedback about the death penalty, but just to clarify, the game still has rogue elements.

Not even 2 seconds in and I absolutely love/want this game. As someone who has always liked pixel art graphics, this game is BEAUTIFULLY done. I can't get over how nice the pixel art is for this, the style is so clean and pleasing. And on top of all that, the gameplay checks all my boxes for what I enjoy in a game. Bravo, I'm glad to be alive

Seems like to enter treasure room players needs to kill all levitating orbs and I might be wrong but most likely counterplay for plants is to avoid staying in the area they intent to attack.
The counterplay to being attacked is to not be attacked instead. - Sun Tzu, The Art of Deckbuilders
@@antonkremov1827 I mean, he's right. Reto didn't walk out of the plant's aoe range and instead walked further into it lol
Wow played a demo of this game like 2 years ago and forgot about it. It was super fun then and looks 100x better now. Super stoked!
The currently best rogue-like / rogue-lite (it has both modes + campaign) deckbuilder is Gordian Quest imho.
This looks fun as well.
The counterplay to the Plant attack is the "intended target" recticle you missed when you right clicked the enemy to see its "intended move".
Just move out of the way.

I am a simple man. I see roguelike deckbuilder, I click.
Didn't watch but added to wishlist and pressed like. Sounds good to me but not released. Will play later without spoiling myself.
I backed the Kickstarter and in a recent update the devs talked about maybe removing the roguelike structure based on feedback from their latest beta.
I'll admit I would be largely disappointed as it was one of the major things I was looking forward to
@@Retromation I did re-read the update on their kickstarter. To clarify, it looks like they are just removing "permadeath". It will still (potentially) be run based. But less punishing potentially.
@@Thatonefuckinguy I read their post a bit more carefully (should've done that in the first place) and they said they were interested in removing "permadeath" but it sounds like it would still be run based. I think folks can read the updates on KS without needing to be backers if they're curious. It was the most recent one I think.
That sounds like they're switching to something like a mystery dungeon, which honestly doesn't sound like a bad idea. The demo even looks like it's set up for that style of loop already.
Battlemusic reminds me of Lufia 2 for some reason.

Do you recommend this game or "Alina of the Arena" is better?
I like the structure and balance of this better so far, but it is only a demo so I can't really compare.
Marvels Midnight Suns is a Card-based, Turn-based tactics game. I’d recommend checking it out if you think it’s a good combo.
Also: love your videos! Keep up the great work!
The problem with the marvel game is you have to spend hours clicking through dialog to play the fun combats.

Other than the you can just spam Escape to skip all of the text and even cutscenes
