This is in a city of 7 million people.. and there are another 7 million within 10 hours. there's like 6 times more people in the vacinity of this than cedar point has.
youd be suprised, its arleady a good tourist spot. this is gonna be massive, especially with f1. it will thrive no matter what. and if it doesnt who cares, those 12 locals bought the place for themselves lol. they enjoy it too
A little more insight from my side (I am a Coaster Enthusiast) The Hill on Falcons Flight after the Cliff drop is still big enough to make it the tallest rollercoaster in the world. There is a Wooden Coaster, a Tilt Rollercoaster (with a tilting track before the drop), a launch coaster with a large so called "Top-Hat". I can recall from my mind. The Park is being built by the Quiddya Group and SixFlags is acting as a consultant (they are paying 0 to the construction) Falcons Flight is the exact same size as when it was announced.
The hill after the drop is actually bigger than the drop, they do this by having a booster launch on the strait section after the tunnel, also the coaster with the "top hat" is in the style on top thrill 2 but with an airtime hill and an inverted top hat instead.
I’d say the height counts as the height of the airtime hill as it’s a freestanding structure, still makes it the tallest rollercoaster in the world at 500+ ft
I saw the animated POV for Falcons Flight, and honestly didn't really believe it. This is the first I'm seeing of the construction pictures and my jaw is on the floor. :O Looks like the rest of the park will be absolutely astounding as well!
I don’t assume you mean to steal a comment, but there is a comment that said the same thing, was uploaded an hour before, and only has like 70% of the likes yours has.
My question is, what wheels are they going to use for this coaster? A normal roller coaster wheel like shown in the train picture is too small to handle this type of sustained speed and force. If they use a normal sized wheel, they are going to be delaminating like crazy if they can't keep the heat under control.
Using the cliff makes sense since it means less money to spend on supports and also the development of such a large structure. I can see it taking away from the fear factor though since youre technically not that high off the ground.
as a coaster enthusiast, and a sports fan who’s been watching you for a while, thank you for updating us on the construction edit: this “Six flags” park isn’t even funded by six flags it’s funded by the group “Qiddaya” (hence the name six flags qiddaya) From how it seemed when it was announced, Six flags wanted a park overseas and Qiddaya wanted a big name attached so it sounded like an agreement to use the six flags name
I lived in Saudi Arabia for five years during the 80s/90s. They've come a long way since no women drivers, no theaters and standing up while pooping (look that one up).
Using the cliff essentially as supports is definitely not cheating. All of the elements, as well as the entire circuit are still larger than anything in existence.
"That's cheating" but like who gives a shit lmao, a never-before-seen 600ft drop is still a never-before-seen 600ft drop. Where the supports are anchored won't effect the experience, just the marketing. Plus, if we need something to complain about in regards to this coaster, I got a long list of human rights violations that are way more deserving of our attention
Why tf couldn’t they have done this in the US? 😢 Use like, the Rocky Mountains or something if you need to. I heard Denver needs an ACTUAL amusement park.
I'd like to get the credit, but I'm a little worried about ending up on an auction block or something -- as an American white male I don't want to become another statistic. But I really need to get on this, so I'll probably risk it.
Damn shame I'll never even consider visiting Saudi Arabia. Bummer I'll never get to ride it. Probably only have a few years before it goes bankrupt too. Unless the princes money is supporting it. It's exactly the same size as it was announced to be. That cliff is enormous. The hill after the cliff drop is 600 feet or something ALONE.
It’s near a city with a population of 8 million people with a huge tourist industry! Even if the park ran at a loss it will still bring in huge wealth for the area.
honestly i doubt it, since ive been living in saudi arabia my whole (was born here) all these events that happen, every year it becomes bigger and bigger, id say around till 2030 it'll be hyped up
Man all of the coaster enthusiasts and the 12 locals that will go to this park will love this coaster...

yeah lmaoooo
Well here in the UK the locals wont let anyone build anything lol.
“They’re cheating by using the cliff”. Bro, the camelback is taller than Kingda Ka. No cliff section and it’d still be the tallest coaster ever.
"They're cheating by using the cliff"

@@shambooki4224kennywood has to use the cliff, as it’s the only thing they have to make coasters

Yeah, I was going to say, the airtime hill after the cliff dive makes it the tallest coaster in the world. Not the insane cliff dive.

@@Leftpeg8379I’m pretty sure the cliff is the tallest part at 640ft, but the airtime hill is the largest drop at 520ft
It's still the tallest coaster if you don't count the cliff drop.
was hoping some1 would update us.. thanks! im still in disbelief that this park is a thing. so many years of failed projects lol

When they came up with this ride..... Did they give Planet Coaster to an extremely bored 6 year old and say "Whatever you make, we'll build it".
I saw the animated POV for Falcons Flight, and honestly didn't really believe it. This is the first I'm seeing of the construction pictures and my jaw is on the floor. :O Looks like the rest of the park will be absolutely astounding as well!

We haven’t finished April yet 😂😂😂
Thanks for sharing though. Massive coaster!!!

Just the fact that they are actually “doing” it is proof enough. That’s insane though, that’s a serious piece of engineering right there. Wow.
It still is the tallest coaster the floater hill goes above 500😭
Wondering how these pics are from May bro
To get it in perspective, the Vekoma tilt coaster is 60 meters or 196 ft. tall.
Ginormous
Time to book my tickets to Riyadh!
Falcon’s Flight even not finished had a baby & that baby is the wooden roller coaster next to it

even the first airtime hill is over 500ft, so yh its not cheating. it really is over 100ft taller, 200ft if you count the cliff
Using the cliff makes sense since it means less money to spend on supports and also the development of such a large structure. I can see it taking away from the fear factor though since youre technically not that high off the ground.
The air time hill that follows the cliff drop is taller than Kingda Ka, which will makes this by all means the tallest roller coaster in the planet.😊
Six flags, the most popular park, is a magic mountain, which is in Santa clarita, CA.
It's MASSIVE
Six Flags has had multiple parks in Europe already
The coaster goes down the cliff with a 600 foot drop.. then up and over the giant 500+ foot hill.

How is it cheating using a cliff? There’s only so high you can build with just the usual scaffolding. A cliff still means there’s a large drop
theres absolutely no way this is opening this october 😭😭
Using the cliff essentially as supports is definitely not cheating. All of the elements, as well as the entire circuit are still larger than anything in existence.
0:50 The free standing hill is going to 79ft taller than Kingda Ka also, so...

The hill after the cliff is the tallest point
2nd airtime hill is still the tallest in the world. 535 ft
Omg it’s real

Its gonna be the best roller coaster ride experience in the world that airtime on the big drop and the airtime hill will be ubsurd
The cliff isn't the tallest point so it is the tallest!
DP, you should do more rollee coaster stuff and more stuff about the middle east building stupid stuff to get attention.
5:54 I think the continued high gas prices is helping out with this park investment...
