Let’a just take a moment to appreciate that effortless whistle note and all of her talents! Tone (timbre), riffs and runs, style, whistle notes, gospel, CONTROL coming out of the woodwork, and being able to slip through registers like it’s nothing! And those are just the things that were in the top of my head! She is amazing and needs/ deserves much more recognition than she has!! Also fun fact he real name is abbey and after her mom passed she changed it to yebba which is abbey spelled backwards if you didn’t know.

Her runs are not of just notes going up and down a scale, but more like a chess board of notes that she can move either slide side to side, back and forth, jump over, either straight forward or diagonally, it's a emotional decision not a technical one.
People overlook the Ennio Morricone angle. There are Western elements at play here. That's where the yodeling aspect comes into focus. The driving bassline is right out of a Spaghetti Western.

Hey, I am stuck too...have been for a while now. She is a voice that comes along once or twice in a generation. Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha, Chaka, Jazmine...yeah. She is breathtaking in her vocals and stunning in her writing...like a Joni Mitchell....(best songwriter of the last century).

I've never heard of Yebba, but what I like about you is you consistently think everyone you listen to is one of your favourite singers ever. You think they are all technically perfect. You are so funny! She is a very good singer - high soprano. I tried the high notes but couldn't make it because I'm contralto and it's impossible. Must look her work up.
