Hey friends! It's been a while. I've had a lot going on behind the scenes that you probably don't care too much about, but I'm finally in a place to consistently work on putting quality content on here for you again! Hope you enjoy the video, and if there's anything you want to see in the future let me know in the comments! 🫡
This video reminds me of any time I walk into a new gym with different machines. You’re like a kid in a candy store wondering how this machine will feel, what angles you’ll use, how you’ll load it, the list goes on and on. This is what training is all about. Making you engage and think Great video!!!
love how you pointed out at 7:43 the fact that the loaded stretch is better for gains (which is scientifically proven) without sounding pretentious and/or make it feel like you know better than others... Facts said with respect will forever be superior than facts said in a rude way, even if you are saying the same thing in both
How is it scientifically proven!!?? dont get me wrong... i want it to be, but isn't there like ONE study on calfs or something like that? how has it been demonstrated for back????
From my short weight lifting experience so far, I like to adhere to scientific stuff. But I've also watched/talked to people who got most of their gains off methods that personally fit them best.
Althoug Eugene is fucking strong, you can see the big difference with the other guy, who is a monster. Also, first time seeing Eugene with short hair, nice refresh.
Pretty crazy to see how our individual structure determines how "good" or "bad" a machine feels. For example, I'm pretty certain that the paramount pushdown didn't feel too great for you because the handles were too wide for your elbows to line up with the machine's axis of rotation. However, it wasn't an issue at all for Brian.
Great video! .... Bring back the hair bro. As someone who had long hair and can no longer justify it (thinning... age....) I'm jealous and you need to HOLD ONTO THAT AS LONG AS YOU CAN!!! On a serious note, dope video. Love seeing some of these unique pieces and explanations as to the nuance why it helps.
Noooo the hair is gone, your long hair is what got me to growing mine properly in june and its resting around my neck with monthly trims. Sad to see it gone, but the current style is definitely sharp
No but actually though serious question how does moving your feet to the upper placement differ from the horizontal one? Or is it taken into account as the entire machine? Like the ‘just’ horizontal row by itself. Then the transformer one allows for the higher row, lower feet position and the higher row higher feet same as a normal horizontal row. TLDR is the higher row angle WITH the higher feet position the same as the flat/horizontal row?
Your gym looks awesome. My first structured workout was Nautilus-based. Eugene, you may want to hunt used books online for one of the old Nautius books. Darden had some good ones when he worked for Nautilus industries (before he started writing glorified comic books promising 30 pounds of muscle in 30 days). The old Nautilus books had detailed instructions. One cleverly titled example is "The Nautilus Book" by Ellington Darden and published by Contemporary Books in 1988. It details Nautilus training philosophy, which Mentzer more or less lifted, and how the cams work, as well as details about using the machines.
Brooo first thing i noticed from the thumbnail is ur hair ! I didn't even recognize u at first,it took me a while,u've cutted ur hair short and long hair is gone😭😭😭😭😭i mean,u rock the short hair too but 🥲
I think people discount bodybuilding "talent" in the sense of just understanding how to do movements in a way so that they're effective for you. Brian seems super talented to me, the way he does the exercises I can just literally see it hitting.
Has Eugene stopped making youtube videos. I subscribed to this channel after I saw it about a year ago but he has only put out a handful of videos during that time. I'm just curious as I watched all his other videos and if he's quit making videos then I need to look for different channels to get interested in.
I’m not kidding - I could watch these daily for an hour. Love it bro. Would love to met one day and do just this exact thing in an old school gym neither of us have been to. Great stuff 👍
on the paramount row, try to grab handles more out/wider, than current for you and try it with Wrist Band so that you can rotate 5-10% your arms out so that it stays in more natural position for your upper body :) Hope this helps
For me, Bro Spilts is amazing. I'm able to push hard and gain muscles without spending a lot of time in the gym. It has quite a bad rap in fitness community, I really don't understand why
Ehh. It’s cause frequency and the ability to work out muscle groups more than once a week to meet the weekly goals of the volume needed for hypertrophy of 10+ sets per week. But everyone is different so do what works best for you and what you enjoy.
@@jajahaha5451you do not need more than 10 sets per week to achieve muscle growth. 1 set to failure will stimulate growth for ~29 hours with diminishing ROI per every additional set performed. low volume per session enables high frequency, higher volume per session enables lower frequency. bro splits work just fine because they utilize high per session volume and low frequency

Dang. It feels like it’s been a while.
Glad to see an upload. I hope there’s still more to come regularly.
Lots more on the way!

agreed. i also noticed that, so much value and a respectful conversation.

i'd take the quality content way over quantity content, so i do really appreciate this channel
Thank you! 🙏

1:36 would love to try that machine
Tbh I miss the locks
Thank you! 🙏 Brian is a machine!
Was hoping for a numerical rating for each of those machines 🥺

Good lord, Brian's a huge human being. I bet he'd be fun to train with though!
Omg. I LOOOOOVE Brian Cage. He's so perfect. 😍
The hair, bro! 😳 Did you get an IT job?
Pretty much 😂😂 The past 6 months I've been stuck behind my desk most days working on the Ganbaru upgrade. I feel like the IT haircut was appropriate 💀
Body by Science by Doug McGuff is the best book if you're interested in exercise physiology.
Short haired Eugene. I repeat, short haired Eugene.
YOUR HAIR

It’s not a Eugene teo video unless he’s rocking a scrunchie on his wrist
is that BRIAN FUCKING CAGE ON THE THUMBNAIL?!
I wish you guys would wear name tags, I could never tell who was who. Great video though!
Brian makes me miss my old mohawk, screw you,.male pattern baldness!
Man, that's some building too! All yours too?
Damn the short hairs, looking amazing bro 👏😊💚💙❤️
I just got whiplash. Crazy seeing Brian Cage on here
The haircut looks really good, but I'm still sad to see it gone
Bro looks like the Joker at the end of Arkham Asylum God damn
It feels like you lost a lot of wisdom when you cut your hair short 😅
Short hair looks way better👌🏽
You look good but im definitely not cutting my hair now lol
How do you make that much money. Is it from youtube or what

He’s back!!! Best day ever!
7:50 showing that being big doesn’t mean you know anything lol, steroids really don’t make you smart
How did bro get big, he wants it to be easy???
Brisn Cage, uncle Eugene, sweet pumps and vintage machines.....what else does a video need!?!? Maybe a little skate sesh
Best to worst for what exactly? Feeling? Effectiveness? Strength?
It's a very general title.

Hey Eugene what shirt brand is that and size? Looks good, would def want one.

How to get a massive pump: hit every machine in the gym 😂😂

Love these type of videos, comparing different machines!
As always, this was a great video man. But really Eugene, it's the new hair that made this one extra special.
the reason why the tricep pushdown machine feels off is because there are no elbow pads to support your arms
HOLY CRAP! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR HAIR?!
Haven't watched Eugene in awhile, noticed he cut his hair. Now I need to go back and watch and see if he shares why did it.
I'll save you the search. I don't. But I was getting sick of maintaining it 😊
I know the feeling @@coacheugeneteo
The paramount rows look so satisfying 😌
Good to see the Machine training with you Teo!
It's nice to see the different equipment and variations that may not be in most fitness content. Thank you Eugene for keeping it fresh
It would be nice to see a follow up that looked at more detail into some of the better machines. Especially variations. 😊
Im supprised there is no og nautilus pullover machines but hey awesome video dude!
It's the one piece I haven't been able to get 🥲
Hi Dear, what about lower body exercises?
I am Not a bot and Not honored but still happy to see your Video 😅

Thank you! 🙏
Were D f is ja hair!
You both turned the high row into exactly the same row as the first with your torso position…
Not really, the line of Pull is still Coming a little bit more from above
It's significantly different... 🤷🏻♂️
visually yes, biomechanically it’s different 😂
Agree, not that different to do both
its basically same movement
Nice to have you back buddy!

Wow, your own indoor gym. How can you afford it?
go ahead and look at some of the older videos
@@pretty_flaco oh yeah? Maybe I´ll do that, albeit it´s quite tedious.
Loved this video 🔥
Thank you! 🙏
I am happy to see a new upload. However, this one in particular is mostly beneficial for people training with machines; Unfortunately for not me.
💀
Everyone commenting on your short hair are behind the times 😂
