I'm new to GoT. I never watched it. I just saw clips on RUclips, became enthralled with just one character and decided I wanted to dive in. I was delighted to receive the entire boxed set as a present. Arya Stark is a spectacularly complicated created role. When I looked up her character, her occupation was simply given as, 'assassin'. Says it all.
I'M SCREAMINGGGGG this is absolutely perfect, I loved the parallels between the scene with the NK and the training with Brienne. And, of course, the voiceover at the end was PERFECT.
The last episode was honestly the worst episode in the entire omniverse. The war was shit. The fight scenes were lame. Dragon fight was weak. And the worse part is that, this little shit arya killed the fucking Night King who was basically something like a god. The winter lasted 10 seconds. We’ll never know who the night king was or what he wanted. Fuck this shitshow.

Very much wish the knight king story line had gone on longer. So much potential. Him killing Arya (much as she’s my favorite character) would have been epic red wedding level soul crushing writing. But nope. It’s all tied in a nice neat bow. Also Bran as a warg controlling Drogo in kings lading makes way more sense than what they ended with. Danny going completely against her own character just made zero sense.

That's not even the point. There's no reason to even have Jon Snow on the show now. His whole storyline was getting people ready for the great war. WAR. Not a battle that lasts a few hours. The NK and his army have been around for thousands of years and was the biggest threat to the world. Arya was able to kill him just like that? Oh ok. I guess Jon really knows nothing. Oh yeah and all the history books in Got World were wrong too. All the stories about the WW passed down year after year meant nothing. Why were the WW even back after all that time? It doesn't even matter now. RIP GOT. Give me something for the pain and let die.
Gretchen Whitcomb the problem is the show severely deviated from all the books and lore of GOT. The Night King doesn’t even exist in the books. That’s why there is no explanation to anything about him and the wights in the show. There is a character called the “Night’s King” but he is portrayed differently and not a main focal point of the story. Even the wight walkers are different. They are considered an intelligent race known as the “others” and not these mindless ice zombies the show created. The Night King and the wights are show created and that’s why it doesn’t make sense with the GOT lore. They shouldn’t have made him a main villain because he is not in the books. Now they are going to use GRRMs ending so they prob had to kill him off because his whole existence will not be in the ending of the books.

I think its criminally overlooked how basically all of the Starks were some of the coldest warriors in all of Westeros. The only one who wasn't a cold blooded beast was Sansa and even she was a beast she just chose to play the game rather than slaughter her foes outright. But Arya was definitely the most cold blooded of them all.

The reason everyone is still such a fan of hers even after all these years is because her character growth makes 100% sense. There is no point where you have doubts about her motivations or about her development because it all falls in line. It's why I had no problem with her being the one that killed the night king. She is a faceless man through and through. She also happens to be a Stark, which means she's a descendant of the children of the forest and the first men. There is also a lot of the symbolism of the representation of winter, so I agree with a lot of the comments from years ago that say that she is the representative embodiment of winter while the night king is that of environmental disasters like climate change and the such.
Maisie is my favorite actor from GOT . Extraordinary casting all together, but portraying such a complex character as Arya that great at such a young age is awesome

I think its criminally overlooked how basically all of the Starks were some of the coldest warriors in all of Westeros. The only one who wasn't a cold blooded beast was Sansa and even she was a beast she just chose to play the game rather than slaughter her foes outright. But Arya was definitely the most cold blooded of them all.

The reason everyone is still such a fan of hers even after all these years is because her character growth makes 100% sense. There is no point where you have doubts about her motivations or about her development because it all falls in line. It's why I had no problem with her being the one that killed the night king. She is a faceless man through and through. She also happens to be a Stark, which means she's a descendant of the children of the forest and the first men. There is also a lot of the symbolism of the representation of winter, so I agree with a lot of the comments from years ago that say that she is the representative embodiment of winter while the night king is that of environmental disasters like climate change and the such.

Maisie is my favorite actor from GOT . Extraordinary casting all together, but portraying such a complex character as Arya that great at such a young age is awesome
