To be honest, I agree with you. The fleetway comic's interpretation of super sonic is way more interesting than the super sonic in the games, and sonic fighting off a chaos demon possessing him sounds like a cool idea in general.

I love how tails and knuckles sound alive and are still looking out for sonic and give him the strength to get up and defeat Fleetway!! The growl of rage he gives just sells the "I was so damn close" vibe he must be feeling. Only complaint is that the vocals for normal sonic when the full force of the instrumental comes in, otherwise good work
I honestly think that adds another layer to the song, given I think you're likely complaining about the guitar section just before Tails and Knuckles kick in; these instruments are ones we don't hear when Sonic and Super go toe-to-toe after his buddies give him the strength to fight back. What if those guitars are SUPER'S, designed to try and drown him out and make him stop fighting back? ...What if Tails and Knuckles are the only reason that didn't work?

Sonic feels more on the backfoot in this Phantasm overhaul, and I think the loudness of the instruments in Sonic's parts reflect that if you interpret it as the "dormant" persona being in control of the instrumentation while they're not singing. In that case, it comes off like Sonic trying the same drown-out technique Super is, but failing because he's not as powerful as Super; this is mostly because the problem fixes itself to a certain extent in that finale.
Awesome remix! Definitely shows Sonic's conflict with Fleetway. And that shows us that we all have chaos, internal conflict, inside us. The only way to overcome this fear, is to face it. Look at it straight in the eye and tell it it has no power over you. This remix also shows Tails and Knuckles stepping in to help Sonic. This shows us we will always have someone or something to turn to in time of need.
I couldn’t agree more that we all have chaos inside of us and we can’t ignore them forever but a way to win over them is accept that part of chaos inside because they’re us and they always be a part of us, and besides think of the possibility’s that we all do together with non and pure chaos.

Alright, I think I’ve a nice short story about this song. Alright so first off the song takes place in Sonic’s mind which should be evident since in the beginning the only two singing is Sonic and Super Sonic. I imagine that this song takes after a incident where Super Sonic is unleashed once again and almost kills his friends. However, in this incident, Super Sonic seemingly comes out of nowhere, as Sonic before the events wasn’t in any type of stress. This makes him become fearful that he is losing control of his body. So, he goes in hiding to keep his friends safe, if Super Sonic comes out unwarranted. However, this leads into a problem, since Sonic believes that he is losing control of himself, he is giving Super Sonic the ability to manifest himself in Sonic’s mind. Super Sonic uses this to his advantage as he tries to degrade Sonic, making him believe that he will never regain control ever again. This leads into this song, which has Sonic and Super Sonic fighting for control. This shows the reason why sonic seems to be in a depressive moods, since Super Sonic keeps on discouraging him from ever believing he could take control of his life. While on the other hand Super Sonic is happy that he finally can have a chance to take over Sonic’s body. Then, during Sonic’s darkest time, they appear in front of him. Memories of Tails and Knuckles reminding Sonic, that no matter what happens, they will be with him always. So he needs to start fighting back and not be discouraged by Super Sonic words. Sonic finally understand what he needs to do. He picks himself up and with worries, no fear holding him back, fights Super Sonic one last time. Super Sonic seeing this retaliation, gets angry, but at the same time fearful that Sonic may win. And with one final push, Sonic is able to cast Super Sonic into the depths of mind. Finally taking control over his body once more. And that’s it. Please let me know if you like this story and if not please let me know what I should change about this story. I like this remix of Phantasm! I also like the name change, there are some new and odd stuff with this remix which is also good to keep a remix, fresh in a way, the other thing I also like about this I remix is how Tails and Knuckles are put into this song, best it show that Sonic is not alone. Also it's safe to say that Tails and Knuckles are Sonic's Voices of hope or in other words his will telling him "AYO! You got a still got a chance, et back up!"
