@@Ryb2janky1600 definitely on purpose. You can see the two handles that control the shoot are dangling above her head. And she’s clearly getting ready to pull the handles she is holding as hard as she can. No way she got confused between the handles and the rip cord because you can’t parachute alone without tons of experience
That was intentional. She went thru the steps to release and pull the back up. Look Grab Look, Pull Grab Pull. The backup is spring loaded and also has an electric charge that releases it.
Her backup was also rated for a primary. So its no accident. Its expensive tho.
Fun fact: U can skydive without a parachute, but only once.

Good thing you had that sport parachute, with a main and reserve on, when you release your paraglider canopy. Oh, and you should do a few handle checks before cutting away, you seem to have a hard time finding your main pilot chute.

1 - it is not a sky diving “canopy” that is released it’s a paragliding “wing”
2 - it wasn’t an accident it was intentional
3 - the person doing it is a base jumper and the canopy he deploys is a BASE canopy and he deployed that on purpose as well.

Paraglider pilot in training here, can confirm I am cringing. The first chute that was released was a actually Paraglider and not a parachute as the video suggests, and if you know a thing about paragliders then you should know that without a homemade mod, paragliders and paraglider harness do not include a release function at all.

That wasn't her reserve. the first was a paragliding chute. Cut away on purpose. Then used her main parachute. Still leaving her with her reserve..reserve chutes don't have a pull out pilot chute.
