I have about 25 Nest or Amazon products in more than one home. Here are my thoughts. Nest cams aside, the hardware is generally better with Amazon. The listening (commands) of all of the Amazon products are the best. It's not even close. The Google Nest cameras are great despite the ridiculous subscription fees. Software wise, the Google products are best. I wish they would marry and create the best of both worlds.
Why is Amazon not making their devices instantly load the live feed from a Ring doorbell on notification of movement or button push. That is the only reason I would by one of these devices and I suspect I’m not the only one.
I had mine originally in my family room and then took it to the bedroom. It’s definitely great for alarms, controlling devices, music, reminders and other activities before bed or waking up. I don’t have a ring or wyze cam but that’s my next step. For bedside great. For my everyday use 24/7 not so much.
Nicely priced. That being said, if the 5.5" Show 5 is $90, then realistically, the 2.5" Spot should have it's still current price of $130 (!) cut down to something like $40. C'mon Amazon!

The google nest hub doesn’t have a whole bunch of skills and games. I like that it’s more kid friendly and especially that they added a shutter for the camera. Makes me feel safer.
