She was brought in so the show can be turned into a typical soap opera, almost no scenes with her add anything overall to the story, just fillers to extend the episodes. Something that wasn’t happening before season 3.
I swear having Fred point a loaded crossbow at you while she rants in explicit detail about how quickly the blood loss is going to cause you to stroke out before dying a screamless death has to be one of the most unnerving terrifying things to experience ever, dude was probably pissing himself.
Fred reminds me of my friend who can talk for a really long time without taking a breath and goes in and out of a million different subjects at a time. Especially when she gets nervous and I have to remind her to breathe before she hyperventilates.
no I think that willow was getting turned on by a cute girl talking about the difficulties of translating demonic tongues into latin and so she said what she said as a reflex.
I kind of had an imaginary friend in high school called Fred, but it was a he, and the year was 1997. Basing off a real world acquaintance who lend me his game of Under A Killing Moon but I was too lazy to get the name of. So I called him 'Fred'. TL:DR: apparently your thoughts do manifest in reality in weird ways.
Fred is the most adorable character on the show.

@@Brian-jv8iy I see.
They remedied that somewhat by her being hollowed out and possessed by a demon Queen. @@Brian-jv8iy

I love how every character gets a chance to show off their big swinging metaphorical wangers in that episode.
I love the contrast of vulnerability and strength in Fred. One of my favourite Angel characters!
she was my fav out of all of them. she was such a badass and by far the smartest on the team
Amy Acker really can pull anything
I love Amy Acker's character as Fred who's a little quirky and dorky but a lot of fun to watch when she speaks.
This world was fortunate to have a Winifred in it
