Hi It is really valuable information you are feeding. If you don’t mind can you help me to troubleshoot Car and spanner warning on my Vauxhall Corsa 1.4 SE petrol. I Couldn’t get any trouble codes OBDII.
@@samji1983 According to my owner’s manual from 2011, the meaning of that light varies depending when/how it appears. There’s info in page 78. Glad you like the channel.
Theres another more useful hidden personalisation menu for a corsa d all specs, using the steering column stalks, you can code individual keys with personal settings. Insert ignition key but don't turn it Pull both indicator and wiper stalks towards you and hold it until a beep This will bring you into the personal settings You can select these by going up and down on the indicator stalk up and down P1 - welcome Lights when you unlock the car(switches headlights and rear ones on temporary) P2 - Auto rear wiper, when select reverse its comes on P3 - 3 Flash indicator for passing on motorway etc(off is continuos ,on is 3 flashes and off, press twice for continuous) P4 - Automatic door and tailgate locking when you go above 10 miles an hour all doors lock P5 - Selective locking, On for unlocking just the drivers door with one press of your key or off to unlock all doors with one press of your key.(mine is off press fob twice to unlock all doors with it on 🙄) P6 - Speed limiter warning - set the speed limit and will play a tone if you go over it. P7 - indicator volume adjuster To select an option use the wiper stalk to choose. To save these setting that you have selected pull both stalks again for 3 seconds until the beep. these are programmed to individual keys
Interesting, though this seems more diagnostics info if hidden like that, actual digital numbers might have some worrying if they're not always exacting where the person thinks they should be. More useful would be oil temperature - but no car is perfect. 😆 I'm not sure the centre biased needle gauges tell the driver much either. Does the Corsa have blue and red symbols for coolant temperature on the dash or nothing at all?
Hi Nta16. Hope you're well. There's a warning light close to the fuel gauge if the coolant gets too hot - but that's it. It’s a shame modern cars don’t have a permanent volt meter, oil pressure, and other such gauges. They would be more useful than LED ‘mood lighting’ in the floor wells!
Ive got a 2012 corsa d and the outside temperature has changed from degrees to how to change from degrees to fahrenheit. Is there a way to swap this back over?
What a pain these new cars are. The Vauxhall process is much nicer than the bmw. On that car you need info from the vin etc. i hope you had a great week :)
You didn’t mention whether there are any symptoms in addition to the check engine light, e.g. poor running. Either way, you could wait for further symptoms to appear. It might then be easier for the garage to diagnose the fault. Alternatively, you could ask a different mechanic.
This doesn't happen in my Corsa - the temp gauge is probably the most important thing on the dash, my car was recently overheating and had no idea til I lifted the bonnet !!!

Can you suggest any cost effective diagnostic tool which is suitable for my car?

My Corsa isn't with me today to check. However, as I recall there's a units option in the settings menu. I'd try that first.
