- When building your Pole Barn / Post Frame or Metal clad building, make sure to think about the Eaves overhang . It is better to get rain, snow and other roof debris away from your building and foundation to prevent erosion and other problems!

Thanks for all of your videos on the post frame shop build. Good info in all of them so much appreciated. I'm in the planning stages so doing lots of research. I'm also in MN so keeping an eye out for colder climate based ideas/tips.
Glad it helps you out and Thanks for watching them!
You should add snow guards
I don't know anyone who has had snowguards so can't compare leaks but my thinking is less holes in roof = less potential leaks . Wish there was a video about leakage from snow guards or a pro / con video. Thanks for watching
Honestly I thought the same thing but I took a chance currently no leaks. My building one has a few feet between a retaining wall so I had to try and keep the snow up there
@@Chris-zn5is How long has it been? Would like to see how it is in 10 years, since no one ever tells you
@@JasonRUclips only about 2 years, the whole roof is screwed to begin with, if and when those fail as well who knows. Il let you know in 10yrs lol
I asked the builder multiple times and they say they never have any issues, I did have 2 screws that missed the purlins that leaked before the snow guards were installed and they came right out and fixed it
Why did you not show the gable end ? On the bilden
On the gable ends, the snow will not collect. The rain, snow, etc will slide down the roof slope and doesn't fall off the ends of building. Only on the slope sides of roof will you have problems.
Wish I did this when I built mine
That there Bilden taint big nuff.
