Improvements coming to Barksdale Air Force Base under the National Defense Authorization Act

New legislation passed by the house could bring major improvements to Barksdale Air Force Base. Many Louisiana priorities were proposed in the national defense authorization act. This includes 40 million dollars for constructing a weapons generation facility at Barksdale and another 36 million for constructing a new gate and entrance complex. It's expected to help with the flow of traffic from I-20 to the I-220 interchange.
