- I finally break out the Grey Knights for the first time in 10th edition and up against them is The Lion and the Dark Angels. Clearly this is a training mission. Phasers set to stun.

You know Winters, every time I see a new video up on 40K, makes my day 🙌
Meanwhile the Gray Knights are heading off in their strike cruiser, and in the margin of their after action report a word scrawled: "HERETICS???"
I do love the idea of The Hangover 40k though. Imagine them waking up in a hotel room with chaos sigils all over the walls and a fenrisian wolf stuck in the bathroom. Wacky hijinks and exterminations ensues.

This was a nice surprise for a video. Also great move of that Dreadknight pilot self destructing his suit and teleporting back to the strike cruiser when facing the Lion haha. Tight game, love watching your videos winters!
It's been a while since I watched a Winters SEO game, and I am happy to see my Dark Angels being represented on this show.
In universe, the Dark Angles would wake up with some inexplicable bruises and only the most confused and vague memories of fighting some unknown enemy; The Hangover: 40k Style.
One of the things I love about regular Nemesis Dreadknights is that they can hustle across the map and deliver a beatdown. Honestly the only time I am teleporting them is when I got to reposition them somewhere else. Having the ability to Move, Advance, Fall back, Shoot, and charge is bonkers overpowered.

Nice to see a proper Dark Angels list! I still believe the Unforgiven detachment has merit. It’s the one I use the most and have won many games with it.

Oh man my favourite army led by the greatest primarch, fighting the bestest battle reporter. Good luck winters but this guy looks deadly. Love the lists, nice to see new format DA with a theme and some thought behind it.

@@olofsandberg1125 nah I was one of the victims. His Inner Circle blended my Lord Solar Command Squad + 20 infantry with about 26 wounds before his Justiciar finished the Lord Solar.
Those Deathwing Knights ploughed through my Shadowsword too. He was a great opponent though! Really good guy.

I often find that this matchup is highly favoured for the Grey Knights, not only can they get away from the Lion, and everything arround him out OCS the Dark Angels units. So there's terminators slogging all game with other terminators, but the DA lose on primary.

Im expecting the biggest glow up for grey knights in their codex. Cause now it just dont feel like an army of psykers. Sure they win games with movement shenanigans, but i play for narrative purposes.
I would like to really know the recipe you did for those Grey Knights.. Or some close up shots/vids.. :)

Be nice to see that dreadknight with a cannon arm with the sword or hammer with that special magic so on a strike blow you can add the cannon as a multi combo weapon attack??

Hey winters do you rhink they'll primarisafy grey knights this edition, or with them including them in imperial agents keep them the same for 10th now.
Or will they even ever update them and just roll them into the agents book for 11th?
I want to start them as an army but i dont want the models invalidated in like 6months time, whats your thoughts?

yeah, realised that afterwards, would have dropped him 3 points as I killed the middle unit, not game changing thankfully.

great game! that said, The Lion doesn't have the [infantry] keyword, so he can't go through walls or be a target for Squad Tactics.
EDIT: he *can* apparently go through walls. A scary thought for my fishmen
@@Reqqles ooo, good catch on the squad tactics, missed that. However he can go through walls due to the changes to the core rules which now allow Imperial Primarchs to do so.

@@Reqqles yeah the last serious if massive rules changes, so lots of stuff so easy to miss. Much like I missed the requirements of squad tactics, this was my 6th game of Gladius :)
@@WraithRaider weirdly enough I did know they changed it for Belisarius Cawl, but I must have skipped over the primarch part. Still, even for a 6th game you put up a great fight here, I thought Winters was done for when his terminators started dropping like flies
@@Reqqles as soon as I went first I knew I’d struggle, then as soon as he declared a secret mission I knew I’d lost. I made a few crucial mistakes, but he’s genuinely a much better player than he lets on sometimes :)

It can be used in the fight phase - either opponent's turn
@@WraithRaider I believe in app it states opponents fight or shoot phase. I’ve made that mistake with AOC too

yes, anything that starts on the board can deepstrike turn 1

you're correct, I messed up. Happens. Just like recover assets scores end of my turn so I stopped the middle unit.
