I've worked five years at a summer camp where every time they played this song they expected us to dance and sing along. Since then this song has haunted me but you madam have made a version I can listen to all day. Bravismo
Yes, I agree with the others that tap dancing is a lost art, but I don’t think the horns in this video aren’t given ENOUGH CREDIT!! That’s WHAT GIVES THIS video THAT ole 1920’s feel. Aloha Robyn.
Love how the tap dancer doesn't overpower the singer / music. That's talent: to show off what you do but still let others be the show. And his talent is fantastic!
Fits perfectly with PMJ. Good cover in an old style. These are the things I like more then most modern (post 2000) music. From America/Europe at least. From Asia (Mostly Japan) it's a different story.
Can we please get the tap dancer a bigger area? He’s awesome. Let’s see him open up. What a great fusion of musical styles. Ragtime and 70’s disco. Very creative. Loved this!
Not many people know that this song was actually released back in the 20's but was not very successful. True story! Love Ms Anderson's eye choreography.
It was your birthday, when I saw you perform with Postmodern Jukebox ( at the Silver Legacy )....here in Reno, several months ago. Sadly......Puddles wasn't there, BUT....the talents of YOU.....Casey Abrams ( & the rest of that night's featured cast ) were on FULL display. I've always had a 'thing' for those old 'Roaring Twenties'-era 'flapper' clothes.....& you ROCK that red dress!
The musician playing the piano looks a little like W.C. Fields in his younger days. Back in the late 1920's through to the early 1950's W.C. Fields was a terrific actor and one of the top comedians. The Village People music is fantastic.
Robyn and the Band: Excellent number! I never envisioned that type of rendition for that song but you not only pulled it off but you pushed it through! Awesome! Thank you so much!
Really enjoyed the tap-dancing guy. Great addition!
Mr. Lanza is skilled, all, right. I'd love to see him dual-tap with Sarah Reich, I bet his grin would be lots bigger just to keep up with hers!
I agree - He is Amazing! I love his smile too ; )
Yes, the mark of a good dancer, he makes it look effortless!
is it just me or does he look like he has the perfect balance of drink and smoke? :)
Sadly, if he tried that in the 1920s (sharing a stage with a pretty white woman), it'd likely get him killed... :(
Excellent interpretation. Georgia is just back there jamming away, Bassists always have more fun than you would think.
Allways there for the gorgeous Mrs. Weber. Fun fact: she can sing as good as she plays that bass!
Gorgeous Georgia! (And of course Robyn Adele!)
I like this alternate reality.
was thinking same thing why cant i live in this atom punk world
It's like someone cracked open my head and let my personal soundtrack leak into the world.
In 2020, I find myself channeling my inner 1920's. Well done. What a difference 100 years makes.
GERSON LANZA: DUDE! I absolutely enjoyed that dance routine! That was Fantastic! Loved it! Thank you!

Blind Red Dragon Was it a YMCA camp?
Sad you could not imitate this tap dance😁
Such a melodious voice "with meah". Love this woman singing, talking or doing anything voice related.
That was so much fun! and Georgia back there being Georgia, Gerson thank you your tap was fine!

Roaring 20’s and disco. Who would have seen the connection? Congratulations on one of your more brilliant temporal transpositions
The tapdancer was cool. I like him. I like him alot.
DITTO, I was wondering if he was going to have a "solo", and yousah did he ever....
Man that tap dancing guy was going at it and enjoying the hell out of it. I want more of him
Band Sublime, Sassy Vocals were Wonderful & Delovely, & Mr. Bojangles Tap Dancing was Icing On The Cake.
I loved this video so much I watched it twice!! I especially loved the reactions on everyone's face to that guys tap dancing and it was awesome!!!
Very god. The singer is wonderful and the woman in the bass. Her expressions are marvelous
So much energy in that tap dancing. You can tell he really wanted to just bust out and dance all around the room.
Love how the tap dancer doesn't overpower the singer / music. That's talent: to show off what you do but still let others be the show. And his talent is fantastic!
Please! Someone! Help me stop watching Robyn's covers every night before sleeping)) i do it several nights again and again)

This arrangement is inspiring, tap dancing and a band just goes so well together :)

God that piano. I have the shivers.

Great job, and overjoyed that she actually did the Y.M.C.A. !

This interpretation makes sense. The Roaring 20's led to the Great Depression where a YMCA was like a hotel.
I like the bowtie guy's dancing
bowtie, get rid
Bowties are cool
David Tyrrell YAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSS
All he needs is a fez...
@@kooper35 In 1920s cosplay? Are you nuts?

I think I fall in love!
I'm sorry, I just love how there's one dude who's doing nothing but dancing. It bring the already perfect song together.
Tapdance shoes are also an instrument! They play as you dance!
@@krislaracoelho8643 Oh yeah, i completely forgot those existed.

I agree. She is my favourite & I got to see her live in 2016🐯🐆🐽🦄🐺🦊🐐🦌
When I was in university in the early 80's I kind of danced like that dude (minus the tapping) and my wife still laughs at me for it.
gave the song class
She is a god, plain and simply.
