- In this video, I have shared my point of view that why I put Skoda Kushaq over Toyota Hyryder, Creta and Seltos. I will tell you why I liked Creta & Seltos but I booked Toyota Hyryder but then bought Skoda Kushaq.

This guy is all about features . He gave importance to safety aswell but the best feature of the Kushaq he didn’t even mention at all . “Driving pleasure” where Kushaq beats almost everything in its class. The handling and driving dynamics are far superior than that of other brands .

I owns a Creta which got sold off after total loss in an accident. A Kia Sonet and Toyota Etios. Compared Hyrider, Creta, Saltose, Grand Vitara and Mahindra XUV300. But after comparing all the safety features and value for money aspects I booked a Kushaq !

Build quality
German engine though Turbo engine of any car has initial lag with rubberband effect. Hyryders naturally aspirated engine is more refined and gives linear power delivery.
So Kushaq here has its own advantage n disadvantage
No body roll
Well suited to Indian roads given its compact size
Cons of Kushaq:
Rear seats only for two passengers
After sales service, spare parts availability and resale value not as good as Toyota
Road presence and head turner elements missing
Still Kushaq has its own class of buyers who are not in show off mentality and hopefully Germans will enhance their services in India as they cant take us for granted looking to cut throat competition here

Bro...spare parts are now being manufactured in Chakan, Pune and it costs almost close to Grand Vitara, it's not like before.
I totally agree with you and that is more are less the same reason for me buying Kushaq after trying Grand Vitara, Creta and XUV 300. I almost decided XUV 300 but not happy at all with the centre console which is completely outdated plus a very small boot space. Otherwise XUV 300 top varient in Diesel at 16.5 lacs is a no brainer. Drive quality in Kushaq is too good and there is also a kind of ownership pride which i would not have got in other cars on my list.
This is absolutely what i call "Maan Ki Baat"... my story is about 75% same as yours. The only significant difference is that my first test drive was Kushaq and very first drive I fell in love with it and just booked without bothering others. I am happy that it was a good decision. With Kushaq one can attain a mileage of 22 with easy driving at low rpm and avoiding unnecessary accelerations, but it can also go down to as low as 8 if you drive it as an enthusiast on higher rpm.
Significant change has been observed with octane 95 or premium petrol.

Are EV variants better than Petrol variants? Ex. Curvv EV, Nexon EV etc. are good than Kushak, Taigun? They have more ground clearance.

You are getting all must have features with 5 star safety in Kushaq ..Kushaq means king in Sanskrit and it proves the word ..Amazing Driving Pleasure and pure class ..Though getting quite less mileage in city but Safty and Brand Matters ..Recently bought Škoda Kushaq 1.0MT Style and very happy with the decision 😊

100 baat ki ek baat. I bought creta AT SXO in 2021 at 20 lacs i am still being offered 17 lacs for the same :). No other car can offer this feature 😂

Very well explained... hyryder or grand vitara mild hybrid is value for money only for base model... For Any price greater that 14 lakhs is not worth considering hyryder or grand vitara because of low engine performance, 5 speed manual gear box and average build quality

Your observations are really good. I got Ambition Classic variant and am quite satisfied with what I got in that price package. Driving pleasure and comfort is unmatchable. In fact my initial choice was an automatic but as it was not available throughout the Oct month, the dealership gave me a test drive session of half a day of the manual version so that I can choose and finalise.

One more falls prey to marketing tactics. he he . Why can't car manufacturers tell you everything in one shot, why in fragments. Now they talk and focus on GNCAP. Once all car buyers have GNCAP rating covered then they will create something new. People were dying less in numbers when GNCAP was not invented. All safety standards will be reinvented after every 5-6 years, to make you feel less safety covered whatever you buy today. There still are 100s of aspects not covered today in cars as related to safety standards and they are next in line in future. Fools like this person shall be made to believe that they have covered the latest one and they are more smart buyer than others. Marketing wins always, only the company need to understand how to market your product.
Great point. But at the price range of 15 Lakh, what other safety feature can they cram into any car? Surely they will embed new safety features for their future cars and call them the "safest car than the previous one" to drive sales.
Every purchasing decision we make are bound to be driven by marketing at some level. We are all victims of marketing. Are you suggesting to not purchase anything at all because at some point the "latest" will grow old?

Bro im planning to buy soka ambition model 1.0 petrol it is worth it? As per your guidance for style i m pretty sure admition is also worth it ! As per my budget I thought of ambition.
If you havent bought so far, you are still not late. If you are not the head-over heels for features, right from the basic model, the safety features remain rooted in this car, across all models, fundamentally and logically. Others too are following this line like Tata etc. But, barring music system, sun roof, leather steering wheel, etc, the engine and its driving pleasure is unmatched. In fact, even milage is promising and good for better drives, could be bad for monkeys on the wheel. What one wants is safety during turns, hill driving, over-taking holding in traffic and save fuel etc... this one has done it best in its class. The 1.5 ltr is a rocket as many say so, but dont go in the car with idea of sitting in a rocket. Sit for the feel of authority on the road, command on the drive and ease of that feeling where you must reach the destination in good time with comfortably. You wont regret. Add your features as you drive through its good long life.

Agree, but as I have mentioned in this and next video every car has negative and positive points. One car good for one may not be for other and vice-verca. I just mentioned why it was good for me. I have mentioned about service center in the next video.
5 star rating is for 64kph, yes, but all ratings are for this speed only. No one gives rating for 120kph. 5 star only means safer than lower stars.

Bro with all due respect I cancelled kushaq and went for hyryder strong hybrid for a few main reasons. Mainly, kushaq is actually very expensive and the service review is also very poor. Secondly it is not fair to compare hyryder mild manual with kushaq. Hyryder offers mileage and that is a competition killer. Moreover it has pretty much all features you can imagine, and at the same price as kushaq. Only down point is the boot space and the maruti components, but it is not a deal breaker frankly.
Congratulations on your purchase. No doubt Hyryder is a very good car.

I booked a Hyryder v variant strong hybrid on 1st October 22. After taking the test drive almost all the brands. Thank god after a long wait I am getting the delivery next week.

You chose kushaq over these because you were confused. None of ur comparision points makes sense. SKODA might be a fun to drive car but... it has lot of issues like weaker AC, Fuel pump EPC error (very common, 3 out 5 kushaq owners have complained about it), poor service in top tier cities, high maintainance cost if u dont take the 4 years package, extremely poor resale.
Safety yes it is safe but for city ride every car is safe. If you are only travelling on highways then better take bigger suvs like innova, xuv700 ,harrier etc which are anyways safe and sturdy. For a city car creta, seltos , grand vitara, hyryder (this is overpriced though), venue , sonet ,brezza are much better options.

Kushaq is very good and much better than all of these.i am driving kushaq from last 5 month and 6000 km done no problem at all till date and safest suv and what a ride quality awesome not matchable .kushaq is a very stable and beast computer on wheels..so safety is the top most priority.your decision is great.. 🎉🎉🎉last point every car has some problems but who resolve it with the time is the good company and skoda is on top as compared to Japanese and koreon

I had driven kushaq AT top model in test drive. The response of steering wheel was accurate exactly like controlling a bike handle. The car suspension is smooth. Best handling.
what about back seat comfort/space for three and mileage in comparison to hyryder
I was not able to sit at Hyryder's backseat when car is on the move. Frankly speaking, backseat was not important for me. Whatever my family members said they were comfortable on both, but Kushaq is not five seater.
In the middle only a child can sit. Kushaq is not for 3 people at the back.
If you are looking for 3 people at the back, do not go for Kushaq.

Except for the turbo lag, i love the drive and comfort. Mileage is awful though. In local i get an average of only 6 to 7 km per liter. In terms of comfort and ride in this category, there is no competition to Kushaq!

What you said about Toyota Hyrider is correct.. Company donot want to sell that model... Even today Toyota commit 18-24 months of waiting period and in between they keep increasing the price.. Dealers are non-responsive, they are forcing Customers to take add-ons and extra fittings. Hyrider has great TOYOTA LOGO but interior is looking like Maruti Swift may be because the Swift steering wheel is used. Plastic quality is also same as typical MARUTI only..

I Booked Hyrider canceling Kushaq, i also considered Creta, XUV300, Seltos, Triber. Kushaq ka maintainance costly hai, mileage bhi nhi h, only thing is Quick Pickup.
Again till 100km it will not loose Drag race with any of the above segment Car and i am not the person who drive more than 100km .

go for it undoubtedly.. I owned kushaq in August but I regret that I could've waited for Curvv.. You will get a top variant with 17" tyres and other features that are missing in Kushaq like ADAS, 360° CAM etc.,

I have heard lots of negative reviews about Skoda's after-sales service. Did you come across this or was "after sales" a deciding factor for you at all?
People say lots of bad things about their experience during regular maintenance/service with their dealership.
Also one more question. Since you have had some time to experience your Kushaq first-hand, do you think its a long lasting car? As in, does it "feel" like it can last for more than a decade? I really don't like lots of proprietary software and expensive computers/ECU tech in car (unfortunately modern cars are full of ECUs), I prefer old-school tactile analog features that can be easily repaired/swapped locally or by myself if I'm so inclined, and also not a fan of replacing cars frequently, so it has to last for a really long time (even if there comes a time when Skoda exits India, but hopefully not)
I had to visit service centre twice, experience was good.
