In the intro, Larry Tanenbaum got a bigger applause than both Trudeau and Doug Ford 😂😂😂.

I hate seeing all those politicians up there. Let's get the actual hoopers up there who will actually be helping to assist this amazing new journey for women's basketball is Canada. Congrats Canada/Toronto and women's basketball.

I don't know who the woman was that started off the press conference but the WNBA needs someone like her working in the front office

Great announcement but of course Justin Trudeau never passes up a photo opportunity. The only people relevant to this announcement on that stage are Larry Tannenbaum, Teresa and the commissioner of WNBA

yeah Joe - because you know everything that went into bringing the WNBA to Toronto

So true, although I'd add Olivia Chow to the list of relevant people since she's the democratically elected representative of the city that this franchise will represent.

It’s another big day for Canada, and another big step for more Canadien teams to expand to other leagues. I’m really happy to see another team to cheer for in the future. 🥹🥹🥹🥹😁😁😁😁

They will likely go with a name that represents the whole of Canada. I can see them going with Toronto Lynx. Lynx can be found on every province in Canada.
