It looks very nice but there seems to be something missing.
We had such high hopes for the cabin we purchased via a distributor after reviewing everything about this builder. However our little dream cabin is full of stinging flying insects, as well as other flying insects, and pest control professionals have stated that this is due to some fault in the soffits running along side of the roof on both sides. We have been unable to find a solution, even if we were to pay someone to fix it.
They are not willing to help us find a solution and the cabin, on property which we've spent a small fortune to us to develop, is unusable at this time
This is terrible and very discouraging. I'm so sorry you're having this experience. You say the builder, Green River Log Cabins, is not willing to help - is that correct? I have been looking at their cabins and want to order one directly from them, but hearing your experience definitely makes me take pause. I hope this situation can be fixed.
@@sira451 GRLC insists that nothing is wrong. We’ve had other issues as well but the flying insects are gone for now. We’ll see how it goes this fall. Our distributor stopped carrying this brand.
I love the cabin, for the most part, although there have been multiple problems; 40 degrees air pours in through the pocket door due to no insulation under loft stairs, bad shower drainage connection caused water to leak into insulation, a board dropped off from ceiling and a variety of smaller issues. If you but from them it may be easier to resolve any problems but beware. There are other manufacturers that may be better builders.
