That camera is a classic camera - it's definitely still a powerful camera. 24MP is the sweet spot for MP for me. If you have a moment I craft films that weave cinematic stories and document people's lives. Just filmed a cinematic travelogue one. I'd really appreciate you stopping by Ryan!
Well, just answered all my concerns and questions. I have been using a 1200D for the last 9 years, and decided to order a 750D. Now I feel more at ease with my choice.....Thanks for a great review.
Thanks for renewing your interest in this camera and sharing your experience and knowledge with us. Yeah some of us don't have a large budget for our hobbies.
If you are buying used, the "twin" Rebel T6S (760D) is a nicer option since the used price different won't be much. For $40 I have added a used Canon 0.75x wide angle converter lens to the 50mm f1.8 to get a more useful 37.5mm f1.4 lens (==60mm FF FOV) since the T6i/T6S is an APSC. (0.7X version also available would be even better).
Brilliant video and review! I really enjoy using DSLR camera. The viewfinders are the best with 100% coverage. 24mp is all you need, I been working with 12-24mp and for different scenarios even 12 is good enough. Great images out of that camera! Been using vintage lens on my DSLR and they can give quite a unique look. Thanks for sharing Ryan! Always great content on your channel!
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed!!! 24 megapixels is more than enough, 4k video is only just over 8 megapixels and it looks perfectly crisp. I think I will make a video about my favorite vintage lens soon - I use it over my other modern lenses for that unique look all the time and it would make for an interesting video!
Awesome review!! Thanks for being so thorough. I've had this camera for a couple years and recently have really started learning photography but you've shown me things I didnt know the camera could do! (live exposure adjustment). I've got the 18-55mm lens and a 75-300mm telescopic. I'd like to get into macro photography, but also do you have any recommendations lens wise?
For the astral one, which lens did you use for that? And did you use a tripod to stabilize it and everything haha? ☺️ you did it so beautifully with this “older” camera!✨
ah thank you so much!!! i used the 50mm 1.8 for that one. i didnt really stabilize it, i just placed the camera flat on its back and it happened to work out :)
@@ryandobal so sick! I have this camera and am wanting to upgrade but it’s great to know you can do that with a 50mm as well… I’ll have to try it out hehe. thank you :)
I was totally disappointed with the new SL3 and I even tried a second one and it was almost as bad as the first one. Very soft focus. I sold both of them and am sticking with my T6i and my bridge cameras.
Thank you so much!!! Lenses make a huge difference... take a look at picking up a used Canon 50mm 1.8 lens. I picked mine up for this video for only $60 USD open box, and it's incredible especially for that price!
the t6 has some differences other than just the screen, for example it uses a different 18 megapixel sensor versus the 24 megapixel sensor in the t6i, or the auto focus system. i would still say the t6 is a good camera in 2023 though! most of the advantages with the t6i are when it comes to video.

I have 2 T6i bodies and shoot with them regularly. Great cameras.

you will definitely enjoy using this camera!!! very glad you enjoyed the review and found it helpful :)
This makes me happy as I’m using the ones I still have from back in the days to get back into making videos
2024 and I decided to pick up my camera again. Great video! Now I’m even more excited to get some use out of it.
I really like the touchscreen and the touch shutter feature.
Touch your desired focus point and it focuses and trips the shutter immediately.
I just bought a T6s. I don't have it yet. I hope it's going to be a good camera.

Absolutely :) Thank you for watching!!!

I really really love this video, you did amazing! I have the same camera, you definitely inspired me into using it more now!
Dope review!

Nice video. I bought a T6I in 2022 as a first camera into photography with an 18-55 lens for $100. It's one of the best investments I've ever made. ❤🎉

hey can you tell me which are the good lenses for this body?
Yes the camera is still great. Any camera from 2014 especially from Nikon and Canon are great.

@ryan can you list the lenses you used on your camping trip?
yes absolutely!!!
canon 50mm 1.8 STM
canon 18-200mm 3.5-5.6 IS
How long can you record videos on this camera whats the time frame
29 min 59 seconds is the max record limit for this camera
Is it the same as t6 just the flip out screen that is diff ?
