First of all, this is about ippon in Shotokan vs ippon in Kyokushin, not about which style is better. There is a clear difference in that Shotokan tournaments seem to allow more techniques. Kyokushin fights seem to end more often in knockouts than Shotokan fights. Frankly any martial art or rather, any seemingly universal training method where two guys are nice enough to stand there and trade body blows does not seem like an ideal way to train in any martial art. I do realize that fighters modify how they fight depending on the circumstances, but if you train such that your reflex is stand and deliver, and receive blows, then it seems likely that you would do that in any fight. That is not an ideal way to train. I do not blame the martial art, but the way many of its practitioners train.

Jocker sotokan can't defit kyokushin
Again trying to discredit Shotokan? Dude, what's wrong with you? I guess so many Kyokushin ippons to your head have killed a bunch of your neurons. Repeat after me: They are different sports! If you think Kyokushin is superior because you beat yourself unconscious for free (heck, I bet you pay to enter your tournaments) you have been totally misled. Go, do professional boxing or MMA, at least there's a chance for you to get paid for getting yourself crippled down from the beatings.
Dude, you are very wrong! I am brown belt in shotokan and purple belt in kyokushin. I know what I am speaking! Plus I am a doctor , my head is ok!😀
Hey , bro I am first dan black belt in kyokushin Karate so better u keep your bloody wrong mindset with u rather than to share with others.😏
@@sbondokov1 thanks bro for this awesome video 🔥

Shotokan kek ada unsur taekwondo nya..
Shotokan is garbage, same reverse punch over and over and over! He who hits first doesn't mean shit! Let the men fight until one destroys the other! KO or someone quits!
It depends on the mindset of the fighter my man. A well executed kick or punch or elbow can end a fight. Also karateka have good footwork so they can run when the fight is not going in their favour. The strategy of a karateka is so underrated. Also the ability to avoid being hit first can come in handy in fights
@@rcc8347 A Shotokan karateka needs alot more than foot work and a reverse punch to survive a real fight and they are 100% incomplete martial artists.
@@spartanlukas where is the reverse punch in this video?
@@rcc8347 I've practiced both Shotokan and Goju Ryu, Shotokan focuses on primarily the reverse punch. Shotokan focuses on just one punch too much. Do you not understand or just have a low attention span? There are plenty of examples of that Gaku Tsuki in the video.
@@spartanlukas I know you’re lying cos gyaku zuki is not ippon
