Hi everyone! Just a quick update: I'm working hard on Part 2 of the "How to make a stylised room in Blender" tutorial! However, I am also juggling full time work, big projects outside of work, Patreon, RUclips and my little projects as well. Just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten about it. It just seems like I can't get enough hours in the day recently! Thank you for being patient with me and I hope you tune in when it's out! P.S. If anyone knows how I can multiply myself, I'm all ears 😂
For anyone wanting to make sure their table legs, bed posts, or drawer knobs are perfectly spaced, try using a mirror modifier on the item, selecting the object you want to attach it to as the object in the modifier menu, and then select the axis you want the mirrored items to appear on. Helped me from trying to space things perfectly forever.
Yay, I'm glad you're excited! Backgrounds can really be intimidating when there's so many elements!! But I hope that the step by step process and explanations make it less scary 🙌
Thank you so much for this video! I had so much fun following along, it felt like playing a game and not just following a tutorial to learn things haha. I had no idea blender could be so relaxing. Can't wait for future parts!
This is awesome, as always your tutorials are foolproof and encouraging. Thank you! 👏 However, duplicating new potions is too much fun and now i'm forced to hide some under the bed to keep it clean. 😤
Hey eve! i'm not sure if you remember me, but i watched your first modeling videos, and since then they were such a great help, before that i was considering leave blender behind, since it was so overwhelming, and caused me a lot of stress, now im way more familiar with the program! i honestly can't thank you enough for all that you've done!
I don't normally leave comments. I just wanted to say thank you sooooooo much! You made this tutorial so simple and easy to follow along. I was a COMPLETE beginner with Blender. This is the first video I watched to try and make something. I have learned so much with this video that I feel confident I now know the basics. I was scared because I heard Blender is hard to learn, but you have made this easy for us beginners. Towards the end, I was able to create my own shapes without really needing your help. Once again, thank you
That's so great to hear! My goal with these tutorials is make 3D less intimidating for people and I'm so glad they've done that for you 🙌 Good luck on your 3D journey!
quick tip: select your object -> ctrl+A -> Apply scale once you get your cube shaped. This will avoid non proportional extrudes or bevels, etc (5:30 , 10:00 for instance). I hope you find it useful :)
thank you so much for these great tutorials ive started watching with zero knowledge on blender but now im already pretty confident thanks to your tutorials
In case this is helpful for anyone, because it tripped me up at first... be aware that applying all transformations will remove the origin point from the object. This means that if you want to make further adjustments to the object (if you want to scale or rotate it again for example) it will use the world origin to do this. You can add the origin point back if you've removed it (right-click the object in object mode, click "set origin", and choose "origin to geometry"), or you can apply just the scale and rotation without applying the location. I didn’t have any problems just applying scale and rotation without applying transform, but I'm not sure yet if there could potentially be undesirable effects of doing that. Also, regarding the object editing at around 18:00, editing the object's overall shape and position in edit mode instead of object mode will mean that the origin point will remain in its original location instead of in the centre of the object, which may result in some unexpected and undesired behaviour when scaling or rotating. Again, you can fix this, but it's good to be aware of.
Thanks for your amazing video. I'm very new to blender. I wonder how to render this in a different style, in which objects coming together as if the whole thing is being built in few seconds. I hope you know what I mean, and can share the name of the style so I can look for tutorial videos on it.
Hi eeeve! I'm self learning 3d blender using your tutorials! It's very helpful ❤️ Btw, can you teach us how to create spikes like on the back of cartoonized crocodiles, and how to create their hands/feet in triangular shape? Thank youuu!!!
Hey, I'm working on Part 2 currently! Life got much busier than expected recently so it's taking much longer than usual. Hopefully will be able to finish and post it soon 🙌
having trouble with bevel modifier not visually applying to the bed :( when i select object, the orange outline is going around both the bed and bed cover when selecting cube.001 :*( i am missing something somehow despite trying to follow instructions perfectly EDIT: when selecting cube.001 after extruding my bed cover, it appears as if the lower half of the mattress itself running underneath the bed cover is somehow also extruding alongside the cover... idk how to make that stop
omg, was it the part at 5:28? I'm having issues with that as well. My orange outline goes around everywhere but the top surface of the bed and my bed ends up looking weird.
I had the same problem, so I actually resolved it by doing the Inset with the tool from the left side bar called "Inset Faces" I selected all three faces and it worked. Hope this helps
For 6:48 when I right click it just selects the item,is there another way to get the object context menus to get "shade smooth" without the right click?
someone pls help me out with this part im aving trouble to the loop cut when im pressing the keys it moves the object insted im just going to leave that part and move on
i lost my damn 7 hours on this and part 2 evrything go normall until its crashed auto save dint save and recovery dint recovered and i got autosave unable i have the worst day of my life
Really, you are wonderful, although I have difficulty with language, it is better that I expect more from you.😊💖 Can you make the video subtitled in Arabic?✌🏻☹☹

I just started self-learning how to model and do environment art, and found this tutorial very very helpful! Can't wait for PT 2 :)

YES, I'm so excited about this, it looks so cute and I'm terrified of backgrounds ✨

I'm so glad to hear that! My main aim with these videos is to make 3D less intimidating and easier to approach 🙌 Future parts coming soon!
This is awesome, as always your tutorials are foolproof and encouraging. Thank you! 👏
However,

I'm glad you enjoyed it!! Stashing them under the bed is a good tactic, that way it doesn't count as potion hoarding 😂
Thanks a ton 🙇🙇

Great video, I just jumped back into trying to learn blender, the way you explain and show your work has helped me in many ways. Please keep it up. 👍

Your videos are super informative Eve. Normals have really been throwing me for a loop
I'm glad you think so! Normals are definitely a tricky one! But I hope the steps in the video have helped you with them a bit

adjusting the scale can replace all transforms? (it kind of annoy me that resets the center point of an object)
i cannot get this part🥲
Awesome!! such a cute design, thank you for making a tutorial for it :D
I’m really glad you like it!
I followed your other tutorials and loved them. I love your style and your explanations are easy to follow.
thank you so much for these great tutorials ive started watching with zero knowledge on blender but now im already pretty confident thanks to your tutorials
That's so great to hear! Blender can be intimidating in the beginning but I'm glad my tutorials have made it feel less so 🙌

Nice

we hope your life would be much easier 🙏, no problem we will wait 💙💙
When I use the Bevel on my bed it only affects the edges, not the whole bed. how do I solve it?
BUT I CANNOT FIND THE 2ND PART OF THIS TUTORIAL AND I WOULD LOVE TO SEE MORE OF YOUR TUTORIALS
Beautiful tutorials! I am quite curious about why some normals are set to 60° and others for 30°?
Thanks!
To isolate only object to work with, selcet object you need, press "/" on numpad, after you finished press again / to exit isolate mode
cute tutorials
extremely useful and easy to understand!!
i just have a small question: if i want to use the room with a 3d model how do i manage the sizes??
This of us making libraries in Blender need a book particle. 😁
I like this

Same problem here :( did you find out?
@@spacenellagirly no :( tried several things and couldn’t get it. And no reply here

@@muffledd exactly! 🥲 hope creator replies
hmm having trouble with this too. did you manage to figure it out?
I’m at 22:37 and the inset works differently now. It affects the entire shape rather than just the top and bottom. How can I disable this?
Oh I just had individual turned on
I had the same problem, so I actually resolved it by doing the Inset with the tool from the left side bar called "Inset Faces" I selected all three faces and it worked. Hope this helps
Where can i get more similar reference images for isometric room ?
still waiting for part 2 😆
For 6:48 when I right click it just selects the item,is there another way to get the object context menus to get "shade smooth" without the right click?
Thank you .. where the part 2 and 3??
Hi, Part 2 and 3 are not out yet :) Part 2 will be released tomorrow and Part 3 in the next few months once I get time to sit down and edit.
OK, thank you so much:-) and have a nice day
Hi, may I know your PC spec? I am also planning to build a PC for 3D design. Hope yours can be my references. Thanks!.
part 2 porfa
i cant find add mesh on the addons
someone pls help me out with this part im aving trouble to the loop cut when im pressing the keys it moves the object insted im just going to leave that part and move on
It sounds like you might have Proportional Editing still turned on. If you press O you can turn it off :)
Shift+H..... Why not use Local Mode (Press /)? It is the same (almost)
I'm just used to using SHIFT+H and ALT+H, but there's no reason why you can't use / instead 😊
AND IF YOU WOULD SHOW HOW TO ANIMATE THAT WOULD BE GREAT😀
where is the image?
✨🤩💖
i lost my damn 7 hours on this and part 2 evrything go normall until its crashed auto save dint save and recovery dint recovered and i got autosave unable i have the worst day of my life
