I am just in awe of these surveyors …and how they were able to calculate all the mathematical variables that came into play with deciding how tall Mr Everest was….and how so very close they were! I’m not even a math or science person! But I love history! Sir George Everest never wanted the mountain to be named after him because the languages of that area could not pronounce his name!
willium lambton started measuring in hennur-baglur main road bangalore for the first time . the evidence is the great willium lambton has written on a stone that the first point is started from hennur-baglur main road to mecri circle
Thanks for the info. I will check it out.
