Hey thanks for the explanation on the corn head pulling the stalk down and stripping the ears off. I watched combines in the field around my childhood home for years and never knew that. Lol

Kudos to Brian for keeping it all in perspective. Had this exact same problem this fall, put some duct tape on to keep in from sliding again until we got a new one. Inside that collar/sprocket is little roller ball and it was just wore out, new one locked on solid. Enjoy your videos and you working with your dad. Amazed at the amount work you 3 get done. Keep up the good work man you guys have an amazing operation going on there. Green is the best and only way to go.

Tip of the day: Whenever my brother and I were working and it was a good distance apart like him inside and me on the roof, I just put my earbuds in so my hands were free and then we would talk over the cell phones to give directions. It was a lot easier than shouting and the neighbors didn't think we were fighting about something because we were shouting. 😉
Smart move, the large concrete cattle moving pad. More that cattle can be kept out of the winter snow, mud; more weight they gain. Takes calories to move in thick deep mud. Plus, saves so much in labor and fall accidents. Can tell who did all the hard close work on the broken chain/sprocket. Guy with dirt all over him, Dado. Heard this "Afternoon Crack" and had to scroll back to the vid, thought Claudia had dropped by?
Bucket of grout sealer will buy you a few years of easy cleaning and likely extend the life of the textured pad by 3 or 4 years on the front too. One of those rough cowculations.
FYI. In this video your dad is using a crescent wrench to tighten a nut and he has the wrench backwards. The wrench wasn't designed to work that way. He could break the wrench doing it that way.

I see you used an adjustable wrench that's a good way too bugger up your nut that your tightening best too use a ring spanner then it won't slip and round out your nut, but it was a great find and fix in the field love your show. [PS Use Carbon powder or coal dust on those acidic land bear patches it will fix them up and bring the PH back so crop will grow again good luck] Frank from Australia.
