This show is enormous! And both give stellar performances. The cinematography and score are such a return to sweeping romances. Honestly, my tv/ film experience is now divided into pre- and post- The English. Bravo to everyone involved.

Loved this film..everything about it. Fell in love with Eli right along with Cordelia!
I am only two episodes in - so I cannot bring myself to conclude all of the clip. I am in complete awe of the liquid quality of the photography, and the sparing and often sensual script. The acting is breathtakingly good...I found the conclusion of the 2nd episode spine tingling as the Pawnee native Army Sergeant yowls his lament to a safe journey . I have no clue of what the words are or what they mean - and yet I feel I know them all.
Top notch entertainment.
wait till you watch the 5th episode... that ending, wooow!
If you love the first two episodes you'll definitely love the later ones. This is a phenomenal series!

Yesssss! I hope you do check it out, both Chaske Spencer and Emily Blunt's acting skills are first class, the cinematography is breath-taking and the love story is so tender.
As an American, learning about this time period in school, we would wonder how people made it out here. So that was a great surprise with this show. I really really liked seeing the people that only ever take up a few sentences in our textbooks. I liked seeing our real America fleshed out a bit more. Even the sky shots, like yes, that's what that part of our country can look like.(I think they filmed it elsewhere but still very similar)I love that we got to see alot of the other people who are usually in the background of our western movies. It made it more real. Spolier

No. There shouldn't be anything - all knots are tied, all hearts are broken. And for good - this is a complete mastrepiecie!

A acting tour de force, am so glad I didn’t live in the “good” old days….there was so much pain, ugliness, it was hard to watch sometimes. But I did and series deserves awards…

I disagree! She’s a great actress and hasn’t fallen into the trap of having to look good on screen. She dirty and messy - no makeup. You can’t say that about so many others
