If this Tele was made in the USA it would cost $2000+. Compared to an Elite or an Ultra, this offers just as many tonal options. I like the amber color too. The fact that it has the belly cut, tapered neck joint, and front binding are all bonus features. Well done Fender!
I am a returning new guitarist who has not played in over 40 years. I purchased the Fender Telecaster Custom FMT HH and the Fender Cd-60s as my first two instruments. I enjoyed your tone report on the FMT HH very much.thank you for taking the time to product that particular video. I found it informative and delightful to watch. Your musicianship is impeccable, Inspiring and delightful.
Great playing really. I bought this one in red after seeing your video. So thank you to help me on my choice. I love your intro in the style of Gilmour.
1st I have seen of your videos. I was looking for reviews of the Telecaster FMT HH . Here I am. Really enjoyed the demo. I did subscribe btw ! Thank you for sharing this review. A different take than some and I liked it. 👍
I’m officially drooling over that tone🤪 Great video sir. I’m in the process of researching this thing ever since I stumbled across it looking for that perfect tele. I’m definitely getting this guitar. Thanks again for the great demo!
Thanks for watching, and I hope that you find it as amazing as I do. I just did some work on her yesterday (change of season / action), and fell back in love with that TONE!
Plays like a much more expensive guitar. Those pickups are dynamite and it feels like a strat/tele/les paul hybrid. It has so many sweet tones. Don’t think twice, buy one!
Thanks, this was what I needed to convince myself that the Epi 62 Bonamassa es-335 I recently bought (the last one I would ever buy, smirk) actually was not the last one. Don't know how long I can withstand the urge to get it. Probably not more than a few months. By the way, very nice backing track in the beginning, have to search and find one like that. One question, that guitar strap you have, which one is that? Looking for one that is comfortable on my shoulder that will not cause my left arm/hand to disfunction.
Man, I know what you mean about "no last guitar"! But at this point, I'm having to adhere to the "one in, one out" rule since I've run out of space on my wall. I wish I could tell you what backing track I was using… normally I'm a lot more organized on that type of stuff, but this one fell through the cracks. The strap is a NeoTech, very comfy, I use it on every gig. www.amazon.com/Neotech-Mega-Strap-Regular-Tailored-Control-Stretch/dp/B000P4FBQO/ref=asc_df_B000P4FBQO/?tag=&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312176484647&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6801580899602717649&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9024739&hvtargid=pla-490968297107&ref=&adgrpid=62521174299&th=1
Just bought a black cherry burst on reverb today for 600. I’ve been looking at this guitar for almost 2 years and finally decided that I had to get it. I love the tele look with the modern comfort carved. I usually build my guitars from kits but no one makes a set neck tele kit. I may swap the pick ups and put my Duncan Saturday night specials in it.
Hi there At 4:15 said 15radius So it's almost straight? And what does it mean? It's easier for something? for solos? What about chords? Sorry I am semi beginner
Found this video because I'm thinking of buying one of these models. They seem very good but seem to drop in volume with certain pickup configurations. But that can be dealt with by turning the volume knob a bit. I have say I enjoyed the Gilmour sound you had going in this video.
I’m wondering to get this or the Tele Boxer made in Japan? Can you help me decide? The boxer is more expensive and has less. That I don’t understand. I’m a “decent” player.
Wonderful playing and wonderful tone. I had the first run of these with the fender humbuckers in it back in 2002 but I never made it sound this good. I’m sure you would make a first act sound great.
Hi there! I know there are tonal differences but between these Amber FMT and the Sandblasted Daphne Blue (with the classic 2 single coils config.) Sweetwater exclusive Telecaster, wich one would you pick??? Awesome technique and great vid btw!! Cheers from Peru!
I have this same guitar. That 59 pickup in this thing is impressive. You sounded great with it. This guitar offers up a bunch of different tone possibilities. I agree with you on the neck. It does feel a bit odd at first. Almost big and flat.
Interesting Guitar, versatile, some nice tones. I have have my heart set on a PRS Zach Myer, but it's a hot item, sold out everywhere. I'd love to check one of these as maybe a alternate. Thanks for your review...
I have been wanting a telecaster for about 5 months now for the basic tried and true telecaster traits. I was very interested in Fender's player model. Really liked it. Then my heart was broken. I discovered the fmt tele. Looks like a tele, but not a traditional tele. What I set out for. I'm afraid the Tele player will have to wait😢. This custom tele fmt hh will be my new guitar.😄🍕🍺🏆
@@Mooseboy08 I got one about a year ago. I'm still impressed with it. I'm still planning on getting a standard telecaster. Probably with a more modern neck.
I can't find a reason why there aren't more people to review this guitar. It's been on my wishlist, seems like the better option for the price over the Mexican model.
Everywhere I have read says this guitar is great for people with small hands... because of the 41mm nut (normally guitars are 43mm) and the 15.75 inch neck radius which means its thinner than chunky ones like Les Paul which is 12 inches radius......BUT YOU SAY THIS GUITAR HAS A CHUNKY NECK? I'm confused.
Can I ask you which guitar you would recommend of these two: The Fender Special Edition Custom Telecaster FMT HH you're playing here or a Fender Player Stratocaster HSS with Floyd Rose? I am new to guitar. Thank you!
I have this guitar in black cherry burst and I just love it. It's definitely one of the nicest guitars Fender makes. Aside from the gorgeous smooth tone it produces, the craftsmanship is downright astounding, especially at this price point. The gorgeous archtop flame maple top, matching finished headstock, the the set neck, the cream binding, and THE BEST fret work I've ever felt in any guitar just screams premium quality. They didn't skimp on anything. That block saddle bridge is something special too. the strings just sustain for days. And all this for about the same price as a MIM player series? Forget about it. If you ran through the list of features, material, and build to me, I would've said you're talking about a $4k Les Paul. To know it's a $725 Fender was a jaw dropper for me. You won't find better value in any guitar anywhere at this price point
Hmmm… I don't really have an idea on that. I just know that when I pick up a guitar and play it, I can tell pretty quickly whether it's going to stay with me or not.
@ ruclips.net/video/ef1HRyesUmU/видео.html can you give us an example of what that is chunky compared to? I have several Strats and my 05' American Deluxe has a 'modern c' and is the most comfortable neck I have ever played. Other Fenders have a 'modern c' or 'c shape' and feel very different. I wish Fender gave more details on neck profiles. Great video btw!
Hi Mr Mooseboy, I'm going to get me one tommorrow. I can't wait. One question: this guitar is okay for playing blues? Kind Regards Vincent from The Netherlands

I'm on the fence about this guitar. It's really pretty and it's light, but in all the videos it has a somewhat thin, hard, bright sound, without enough meat to it. A single coil Tele usually sounds meatier, let alone an HB. Nice playing, though.
I hadn't picked this guitar up in a few months (I now own about 30 guitars) and was so pleased at how well it plays and sounds.
Today is her eighth birthday! I picked her up and ran through all of my daily drills and fell in love again.

You play very well, and have shown the beautiful tones of this guitar better than anyone else.
Thank you John!
I stuck around. Thanks for publishing this review. I'm sold on this guitar. It's a Fender - It's a Gibson - It's a Gretsch
Great playing really. I bought this one in red after seeing your video. So thank you to help me on my choice. I love your intro in the style of Gilmour.
Thanks for watching! And I really hope that you love yours as much as I love mine.
Love the review of the the FMT Tele. Thx!😊
Glad you liked it!
That Floydish intro 😍😍
Too bad no tremolo or strat version with the flat radius f-board.
Wonder how difficult it would be to have a tremolo installed?
Nice playing, early on, David Gilmourish! I have the 2007 FMT HH Limited Edition Spalted Maple...great guitar.
Been eyeing this guitar for a while. this video might of just sold me
Great, glad you enjoyed it.
Yup! Love it! I picked mine up Thursday. I'm parking my Ibanez a while. As far as a traditional hard core telecaster, I'm thinking about a kit.
just bought this guitar in red, after watching this vid.. Thanks..

Gosh, I really don't have any experience with the Boxer, but this Tele is made in Indonesia, so that may make up for a lot of the price difference.
I ordered one of these yesterday. There was only 2 in the shop. Should be here later on today

Hi, if you are new, you shouldn't buy a guitar with a FR tremolo. It is very difficult to play. Buy a hardtail guitar as this one.
Floyd Roses are hard to set up I wouldn’t say it’s bad for a beginner per se but not a first choice. I suggest this guitar heavily
