I own one of these and buying it, as a gigging guitarist, was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Before this I was using Yamaha SGs, and they weigh a ton (think mid-70s LP Customs), so when I picked this up and noticed it weighs next to nothing (and my aging back needed something lighter), and that, along with its natural resonance and coil-splitting options, made this an easy choice to make. Although you make comparisons to a Les Paul, this, to my mind, is closer to a Gibson SG (weight, upper fret access) in its execution. I've swapped out the push-pull pot for a push-push for quicker sonic alteration, but apart from that, this, to me anyway, is a near-perfect guitar.
I found the nicest thing about mine when I had one was how the humbuckers responded to the longer scale length. The humbuckers sparkled much more than a Les Paul. They were fat and juicy like a humbucker ought to be, but had extra high end that gave a very nice chime.
I clicked on this video because that guitar looks similar to my 2005 Daisy Rock rock candy special in candy apple red. I got it in a pawn shop for under $100. Great playing and sounding guitar.
I bought one on black Friday from Sweetwater and its awesome. I have the black cherry version. Just beautiful! Too bad i suck at guitar but more practice it'll sound great lol.
Nope, never made in China. The originals were made in Korea and are considered superior to the Indonesian made ones. I owned an original and like a dumbass i sold it.
@@scottmacdonald5605I agree to this. I had a korean one years ago. Got rid of it bought this again thinking it was korea and when I received it saw the Indonesia stamp and was like damnnn… still a great guitar
@@brandonwarren2017 they are still great guitars but as far as resale goes the Korean made ones hold their value. I am still kicking myself for selling mine. About the only thing I would consider a downside(minor) is the nickel frets. I am a big fan of stainless steel frets. They last a lifetime so you never have to worry about replacing them.
I can see others have commented that these have been made for many years. I bought one of these over 10 years ago and still have it. Only mine has a spalted maple top and matching headstock. I play that guitar more than I do my Charvel custom shop. 😉
I bought one, finish was awful, cloudy. Two inspection stickers on back. They both missed a big issue. A bad drill job on the S1 knob farthest to the right. My fellow employees at my guitar store reviewed the ax and all of them said they were astonished it got through inspection. Fret board screams Seymour’s are dynamite.
Btw if you fancy an HH Tele .Harley Benton do several starting about $900 less than that one I bought one for a joke but it's great TE 22 HH I think it's called .
1k? Lol these were 699 new just a few years ago! Greedy fender. I got mine luckily used excellent condition for like 550$ in 2021. 1k is a ripoff, although its an awesome guitar , extremely high quality parts, and i love it.
I purchased one of those a year ago and sent it back. Tone, was great but there were 3 negatives: 1: an Indonesian guitar for $1k should have S/S frets, and if they don't ensure that the N/S frets don't have "tool" marks all over them before it's sent to a customer. 2. The nut, ugh... horrible - again quality issue, and greatly increased the tunning instability. 3. Way too much poly on the back of the neck - it should have been matt finished. Poly on the neck was worse than many old Squiers.
I got rid of my PRS SE and replaced it with this Flame Maple Top Tele. Having owned and played more guitars than I care to list, this one is real, worth every bit of $1K and clearly not made of cheap materials. It’s 5 lbs lighter than my LP Delux, sounds just as good and cleans up toward a single pot sound with a simple pull. The action is next to perfect and the finish flawless. In Amber color it gets many looks and compliments. Any equivalent axe made in NA will cost $2-3K.

Glued in set neck one of the biggest features

Just got an old blackout version a couple weeks ago. Monster of a guitar
I have one of the OG Mail versions. Mines loaded with Seymour Duncan Phat Cat P90’s. That really gave it the LP vibes for sure. Great guitar!
Isn’t it Phill! 🤟Thanks for the watch!

Dude, keep playing, I’ve only got 3 fingers!
I remember about 15 years ago seeing these for the first time. They were made in China back then, and they were about $499 brand new.
Still worth it yeah! 👍 thanks for sharing!

I bought one from Sweetwater and had it plek’d. Awesome guitar with Seymour Duncan bare knuckles.
Thanks for letting everyone know…Appreciate you commenting.
I have that same exact guitar. I love it.
I bet you do! This model is superior to any Tele you throw at it 🤘😎

This is one killer guitar, the kind of guitar you can say is that it’s “all you need”! 😮 and more 🤩
Thanks for sharing
The carved top is good, lacking on the slab tele bodies.
Claro’ amigo’ 🤟
I have one in black cherry the Seymour Duncan pickups sounds fabulous of course I love pearly gates and 59 plus it has the push pull for splitting

the only left handed in the store
I have a red 2006 Korean Tele FMT HH. It's my fender les paul. Very bad to the bone.
GC and MF daily pic 450.00 all the time
Tele HH have low resale value and interest. Cause it defeats the purpose of getting a tele
Dang great point 👍
Just buy a PRS SE. Don't bother with this wannabe...
lololol I have both and a couple real PRS. This guitar is more on par with my real PRS than my SE.

😂utter shite
I’m sure Everybody Loves Raymond
Sounds terrible
Guitar Center probably isn’t the most conducive environment, but I do try my best to be original 😔
