Understanding what the event log is DynaGen TG350 & TG410

In this video, we will discuss one of the great features of these DynaGen controllers: the Event Log. This feature can store up to 150 events, including warnings and failures, which helps monitor and troubleshoot issues.
The Event Log helps to eliminate the guesswork regarding what happened with your generator while you were away. It records normal and abnormal events, making it the first step in troubleshooting to check the event log and review the recorded events.
To access the event log, do the following.
1. Ensure the controller is in Off Mode.
2. Press “enter.”
3. Scroll down using the down arrow to highlight “Event History.”
4. Press Enter.
5. Now, you can press the down key again to scroll through the recorded events. For example, the first one here shows the event number, and the second number shows how many events are saved in memory. The third line is the one we often focus on, and of course, the last line here is the date and time.
6. We are often concerned about the warnings and failures when troubleshooting, so let’s find one. Here, for example, was a low battery warning. In this case, it is normal to see a low battery warning before cranking and starting the engine. Since the battery powers glow plug heaters, the battery voltage pulls down but returns to normal after the engine runs.
7. Press the “ENTER” button to exit this menu anytime.
8. Scroll up to “BACK” and Press “ENTER” to exit.
That’s all there is to it.
If you are using a computer and plugged into the controller using “RapidCore Configuration Software,” you can also download a log from the controller.
