8:47 Vendi's new designs are interesting. I wonder why her artwork in the dialogue box looks so different from her actual model? The dialogue box artwork looks better IMO, but at least her new model isn't as creepy as the original one.
One thing I'd really like for them they add before release is a better indicator or a little jingle for when power ups are close to running out. Also would be nice to be able to strafe when using the projectile power ups and flame breath, since it still looks finicky like in the OG when shooting outside first person mode, mainly with the ice and bombs, but so far I like what I'm seeing. Really curious to see how the devs handled the swamp and galaxy level. The swamp was my least favorite and felt a bit unfinished despite having an overall great spooky aesthetic and decent enough level design with the pipes acting as shortcuts. Same goes for the the galaxy one, but with that level it just felt a little TOO big.
I’m going to be honest, I know this is an early build but it really doesn’t look too different from the original. If anything, I think what the game really needs is more “imagination” for the pagies. Like let’s look at Mumbo’s Mountain from B-K for example, you fight a giant gorilla throwing oranges at you, you feed eggs to a totem pole, you explore a giant termite mound but not without being turned into a little termite first, ect; Most, if not all jiggies have something distinctly memorable to them, but at the same time they each still hold a similar theme based on the worlds their in.
