Families are not important in presidential movies. None in Washington's Thedore Roosevelt , Kennedy and Nixon to name a few

President Lincoln was with out doubt the greatest man to serve in the White House. Legend has over taken his life but it has been for noble reason. He gave a lot and to cost him everything. It is sad and cost us a 150yrs of pain with how reconstruction had been mishandled. I believe the steady hand of President Lincoln would have brought success, he had a great ability to outsmart and out manuver his enemies and opponents. God gave us the right man for the right time but in God's wisdom he called him home.

It's stupid, naked propaganda worth of being agitprop.

It seems that Sam Gray, the actor who played James Buchanan, knew the trivia that Buchanan tended to tilt his head when speaking to others.

Some historians tend to weave the tale that Buchanan was a homosexshall. Last word misspelled intentionally!

Lincoln understood that the Naval telegraph office was filled with Confederate sympathizers who would notify Charleston if orders for a naval expedition to Sumter or Pickens was given. Orders were telegraphed to the Brooklyn Navy Yard to prepare the vessels for the expedition to Sumter, so when Lincoln sent his emissary to Gov. Pickens to announce his intention to land provisions only, the Confederates thought it was a ruse. Lincoln had given David Dixon Porter handwritten orders that he carried to Brooklyn, taking over the expedition to Sumter from the officer named in the earlier telegraph. Dixon's orders instructed him to sail to a rendevous off the South Carolina coast with other warships and then proceed to Ft. Pickens. The Confederates seeing that rendevous took it as confirmation that Lincoln was attempting to land troops and munitions, and proceeded to fire on Ft. Sumter. Lincoln set the whole thing up so he could get the surprise he needed to reinforce and hold Ft. Pickens while inducing the Confederacy to fire the first shots at Sumter.

You post a flag for a man who killed over SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND men (almost 7 million in population adjusted numbers if the war ended last year) and turned the US from a republic to an empire.
