The same can be said for Orton, it's crazy going back to like 2013-2015 where everybody was tired of seeing Randy so he was booed out of every building he entered, but now everytime people hear "I hear voices in my head" the crowd goes wild because Randy is a certified legend at this point
R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
Crazy I’m a attitude era fan and Randy Orton the reason I stayed around(and Edge)
Yeah, I don't care what people say, Randy can work when he is motivated to do so by good storylines, and he's an extremely safe talent.
Except me 😂 I respect him because I grew up in the time he was the youngest world champion. But randy doesn't get me hyped until he hits a rko.
Im still tired of seeing him lol. He needs a good break like Cena.
Retro ups and downs idea: Royal Rumble 2015. The beginning of Roman Reigns as a megastar and that triple threat match between John Cena, Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins.
"megastar", that's an interesting word for it. "Overrated" and "over pushed" is what I'd go with. And not much has changed.
@@kajenbop he used to, but now he's the most over and best wrestler right now
@@Tcrror a lot changed actually 🤣 he’s made leaps and bounds in improvement
@@Tcrror A lot changed. He went from being a Rocky Maivia clone to the best character in today's era
The beginning of Roman Reigns as a megastar at Royal Rumble 2015? You're joking 🤣😆😂 right!?! He got booed out of the building that night in Philly. The fans were even booing The Rock for assisting Roman.
I was there…. I had a Batista shirt on. People Are rowdy in Pittsburgh. I didn’t think we’d get out of there alive!! 😂
Wrestlemania 21 the night cena and Batista became stars
In that case I hope he does it
TNA Destination X 2008 so Simon can watch Shark boy and Curry man vs 3D as well as Samoa Joe, Christian and Nash vs Angle, Styles and Tomko.
Shark boi sucked tho
The We Own It theme for this show was awesome
"Your mental health is THE most important thing" Amen, that is FACTS. The WWE will keep losing people until they do start prioritizing mental health.
That comment hits particulary hard right now
@@markb35are you doing better? I hope you reply to this and it’s yes
Jules, from this channel used to say that after every video.
@@tompatchak8706 I'm doing great, thank you so much. Now I don't remember the exact context, but I can almost guarantee you that I made this comment in light of some dark news surfacing in the world of wrestling around that time period, it was not a dark time in my own life. I still appreciate it so much that you made the effort to check in, the world needs more people like you my friend
@@markb35 right on. Glad you popped in though.
Oh no it was THIS SHOW?!?!???? The bar in which I was watching this damn near had a riot when Daniel Bryan didn't show up in the Royal Rumble. I know he had that 1st match but he could've returned later and not scare my date lol
Punk on "HEELS" was freaking hilarious!!!
Fun fact : He wasn't supposed to be in the show, but they decided last minute to give him a role. He also helped flesh out his character of Ricky Rabies :)
@@slavetothesystem1100 That drone disguised as a possum that spit out blood was crazy. It seemed like Punk had some input into Ricky Rabies.
If you rewatch the Royal rumble, 2014. Watch the spot where kane runs cm punk into the barricade, you can see a kid try and reach out. That kid is me at 12 years old in John cena gear trying to reach kane because when the barricade bounced it hit me in the stomach because I was standing too close LMAO
That's pretty cool man and a story I wasn't expecting to hear lol
Wrestlemania 3 - Hogan Vs Andre, Steamboat vs Savage and Roberts vs Honky Tonk
cena vs owens
@@Herbert_Rudolf wow their rivalry stretched far back
Video ideas: After All Out rank every AEW ppv so far from worst to best
Rank WWE PPVS from every year from worst to best in separate videos starting with 2020 going backwards
Literally one of the best ideas I’ve seen 💯
Going backwards from 2020 or....lol
First ever NXT TAKEOVER seem as though there might not be another one 👍🤯
CM still entertained us on his last days!! Respect
Whenever I'm having a bad day or I'm in an upset mood, I just throw on Simon cuz his positivity really uplifts my spirits. I would love to see a retro ups and downs of wccw
Do royal rumble 2007. The last 15 mins of Taker vs HBK on its own deserves a golden up.
Good suggestion - I remember that fondly
Retro ups and downs idea: WrestleMania 31 because of the heist, and sting vs Triple H
Road Wild 1996 - the horrific WCW Ppv at a biker rally, hilarious.
Love these vids.
Easy E loves motorcycles and martial arts, which gave us Road Wild and Glacier.
I love the new scorecards! Golden up BAY BAY
Please do This Tuesday in Texas, I want to see Simon review Repo Man!
CM Punk's last WWE days in worst way
NXT TakeOver Brooklyn in 2015 the OG. Sasha vs Bayley that broke the “glass ceiling” for women’s wrestling with their awesome match. Also, a really underrated ladder match w/ KO vs Demon Balor
Mania 31 or WWF Capital Carnage
This is the night batista was booed a lot.
He was a Hollywood Star coming back to wrestling. The same treatment The Rock got in 2003 when he returned for a brief spell.
Smackdown that has the Stone Cold & Booker T supermarket brawl
Continuing to beg for Lucha Underground Ultima Lucha... It WILL happen eventually.
I'd love to see a Halloween Havoc 97 retro ups and downs
Starcade 93. The Ric flair & Vader promo's are worth it 😂😂😂😂
I would love to see Ups and Downs for Survivor Series 2003
Honestly, what kind of company starts a war with its own fanbase?
WWE does. That's just how they roll...
"What kind of company starts a war with it's own fanbase?"
Let's see:
WWE.
Lucasfilm.
Marvel.
Walt Disney Corporation.
DC.
Netflix.
And those are just Entertainment company examples, the more accurate question these days seems to be: "What company is NOT going to war with it's customer base anymore?"
Unforgiven 1998 - the night Kane was set on fire...
Fun Fact - This wasn't going to be his last show, he just didn't show up for next shows.
Word no call no show
Think everyone knows that because he got fired on his wedding
No Mercy 2001! I'll keep trying for this even though it's so random.
Also thanks for the constantly good content by yourself and whatculture
i think we all love boo tista, blue tista needs to return xD
The bWo should return for one night just to reveal Bluetista as a new member 🤣
Only 3 of the people on that RR poster are still full-time with WWE
Dang, thanks for the fun fact!
Not true lmao
Kofi, the usos, rollins, ziggler, sheamus, and big E
Fun fact Britt Baker was actually at this event in the crowd
There's nothing fun about that fact.
Let's keep with the Rumbles: Royal Rumble 1992!
I cant remember if it was any good in 92, was that the one Bret won?... but as a kid I always marked out for the Rumble matches. Especially when "friends" ended up alone in the ring awaiting a 3rd, and ofc the 2 entrances of 1 and 2.
@@killwalker it's the Flair one

Simon can we PLEASE get In Your House Canadian Stampede for RETRO U&D? I KNOW I cant be the only one. Help me out here people.
Aww, what a cute lil baby "up". 😁😂
Retro up and down idea: the first show Simon upped and downed
Reason: Simon Miller appreciation week
By Royal Rumble 2014, this was actually Cena and Ortons 17th time competing one on one match and the WWE had the nerve to label it the most anticipated rematch in WWE history.
9 months later, Cena loses a match to Dean Ambrose and as a result gets rewarded with a match vs Orton at HIAC for a future WWE title shot
Thank goodness WWE doesn’t do everything it can to keep Cenas profile above everybody else’s
Future retro ups and downs, how about an unusual call for a Bryan Danielson moment: Raw December 9 2013. Where the seattle crowd took over the Cena-Orton unification match.
Retro ups and downs:The smackdown where they broke up deuce and domino please Simon!
Next retro ups and downs: Halloween Havoc 1995
And 8 years later, WWE is still pushing Roman like Cena
What are you talking about? He is nothing like Cena now. The Tribal Chief couldn't be anymore different.
@@spartanq7781 wind every match, in a similar fashion every time and is constantly shoved down our throats. Yes he's just like Cena
@@Giantsfanlewis He's nothing like cena. The last time I checked cena didn't turn heel at the height of his babyface run, start working with paul heyman or wear black track suits to the ring. The only similarity between current roman and cena is that he wins a lot...and thats fine because HE'S THE CHAMP. So when someone beats him, it actually means something. Unless you want Roman to lose to Xavier woods on free tv like the other champ on raw...
@@JungleBunkRootsMusic2022 nope a champ should be protected. But Roman is still like Cena because he's become unbeatable for literal years. He's over a year into this reign and he never even seems close to losing. He cries because of how badly he's gonna beat the babyface. Also just because Cena didn't have the title of heel doesn't mean he didn't do many heel things, like taking back Ryders girl right in front of him and let's not even get into the burying Cena did behind the scenes
@@Giantsfanlewis imo, Roman is HHH & Cena is Hulk Hogan
John Cena vs. Randy Orton and John Cena vs. Edge were probably the most constant booked matches ever in WWE history, a lot of folks simply got so damn burnt out of those 3 always always facing each other in main events.
John Cena vs Edge is the best rivalry I can recall in the last 20 years. The feud made stars of both men.
Wwe on 2014... where the wwe champion is an after thought
This, for me, was the beginning of the end of my 30+ year love affair with WWE / WWF.
It wasn't that I particularly liked Daniel Bryan but the obvious deafness and stubbornness of WWE backstage seemed phenomenally short sighted. Granted they did turn tide a few months later and gave D-Bry the biggest push he could get at Mania, but then how did they follow it up?
I do wonder, like with Kofi or Rey Mysterio, if WWE only give belts to the 'fans chosen' so they can screw them over, then backstage can say 'Look your champion flopped. Now you should trust us when we want to push these big guys' and then they revert to Borck Lastyear and whoever else is lazy or rubbish.
Vince absolutely sabotages fan choices to "prove" them wrong.
I want a retro ups and downs for armegeddon 2008
I would like to see Royal Rumble 1993 where Ric Flair joined wwf and won the rumble from the #3 spot
That was 92 actually.
@@JL-sm6cg thank you made the comment in a hurry after seeing the notification come up on my phone

And in 2 months, lots more changed
@@adrianng4342 no kidding!!
Retro ups and downs Bound For Glory 2007. In honor of Awesome Kong's retirement let's do her ppv debut.
I remember this PPV. The people I was watching with was asking WTH was happening during the Cena/Orton match. I screamed "Bray Wyatt just saved this PPV." No one wanted Cena to win.
I remember the nonstop boos at the end of the rumble, it was so bad the commentary table got quiet lol
I’m just seeing this one for the first time and to hear Simon talk about Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt just hit me right in the feels this morning.
Retro ups and downs idea: the raw after WrestleMania 29, Dolph Ziggler cashed in on Alberto del Rio to a monster pop, and the crowd itself was flubbing brilliant lol
Need more ECW and TNA up and downs maby even try and do the 1st ever ECW ppv and like the ppv with aj vs joe vs Daniels for tna
He already did that AJ, Joe, and Daniels show I agree with the rest tho
@@EmperorRyuTokugawa I remembered after I sent it lol but I had a look back tho and he ant done any old school ecw only the ones under wwe would be nice to see even one
Retro ups and downs for that episode of smackdown with the iron man match between lesnar and angle

Retro Ups & Downs Ideas: (if you haven't don't it yet) With how crazy awesome Smackdown has become recently you should do an ups and downs for the very first Smackdown.
suggestion Summer Slam 1996: undertaker vs mankind in a boiler room brawl
"you can't even get out of bed in the morning"😂😂😂
My question was "What in the ever loving FLUB (using Simon's words) was JBL doing in the RR match?!" He had no business in that match. Rey Mysterio could've come in at THAT number, then they could've had Daniel Bryan come in at 30! Now MAYBE they could've had it come down to DB and Batista, and maybe you have Batista eliminate Bryan (with the help of the Authority or something), and that could've gone down better!
So make Batista look like a chump?
@@nzuzovilakazi901 he looked like one anyways, and it would've gone over better considering what was to come.
@@JL-sm6cg how about he elimates Bryan fair and square with no one's help? That way he doesn't look like a chump.
@@nzuzovilakazi901 how would that fit into the storyline as we know it going forward?
@@JL-sm6cg it gives Batista more heat
Golden up episode 👍
Miller was on fire 🔥
I was a casual 14 year old fan and didn't know about any insider terms and wwe wasn't live in India then. I had a great time watching this rumble was a little disappointed because Daniel Bryan lost and wasn't in the Rumble match but thoroughly entertained.
Yeah great times. I remember reading the spoilers on internet on Monday. It was only in 2017 WWE went live.
@@ananyaraizada7657 Sometimes I miss those great days. Not being dumb like some others to not know wrestling is scripted but still enjoying the product for what they put on the TV without being aware of dirt sheets and backstage politics etc.
i own RoyalRumble 2014 on dvd i got it in mexico which is where i would get most of the old PPVs and some of the current ones when they were coming out and i totally forgot about Big Show vs Brock but asoon as he got to Heyman i remembered that
Wrestlemania 31: the heist of century
Retro Ups and Downs idea: July 3rd 2006 the episode of Raw where DX take over the production truck
YES!
January 26, 2014 - WWE Royal Rumble - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Thee very last time CM Punk would ever appear in active competition in World Wrestling Entertainment.
Review NWA Empower please. I know it's not old but it is historic and really great overall
I was there for this Rumble. It was bittersweet.
Fact: Brock vs Big show has happen twice at the rumble first time 2003 winner got into the rumble.
I still do the yes chant. Out in public.
U should do like a up down to each of the first of the current major wwe pay per views, so like the first mania, first extreme rules, first hell in a cell and first MITB and etc
Only 4 ups an 2 down you have more up an downs for a 1 hour rampage show !
Vengeance 2002- really good early lesnar match vs RVD, hogan/edge tag team champs, then excellent triple threat main event title match rock vs angle vs taker
Whatculture using cm punk for them views at any given chance lol
Yes sir it’s what they’ll do. Bash wwe who kinda made them but praise aew who won’t even acknowledge them. If they did they should put wcpw back together with aew honestly
One night stand 2006 next
Also Batista is still a giant man beast of a human being, have you seen that dude lately lol
His journey from Leviathan in OVW to "The Animal" in WWE and finally ending up as a Marvel Superhero is the best thing ever
If anyone cares apparently John Cena and Randy Orton have had 123 singles matches since August 9th 2001 which was at the 4th Annual Brian Pillman Memorial Show.
In total between teaming together, multi man matches, Royal Rumbles and everything in between they've had 336 Matches together their first being a tag team match where John Cena then called Prototype teamed with Rico to defeat Randy Orton and Bobby Eaton on July 28th 2001 at a NWA/OVW event in Indiana.
Their last match together was the 2018 Royal Rumble, their last match against each other was a Road To Wrestlemania 33 House Show tag team match where Cena teamed with Luke Harper to beat Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt and their last singles match was at a February 2017 house show in New Mexico where Cena defeated Orton to retain the WWE Championship. Their last televised match was on the February 17th 2017 Smackdown where again Cena beat Orton.
If any one this is wrong blame Cagematch.
Letting Batista return before the Rumble was the stupidest thing they could have done.
Nothing is more important than your mental health -Simon Miller
Vengeance Rock, Angle, and Undertaker Triple Threat
I love how Simon says boo-ya-ka boo-ya-ka
the next retro ups and downs should the royal rumble 2015 aka `boo the musical'
Do Summerslam 2013 Brock Lesnar vs CM Punk was legendary!
Can you review wrestlemania 8 as it was the first wrestling show I watched. And still watching now wrestlemania 8 has good memories for me
I remember this moment
You should do WrestleMania 29
WCW Bash at the Beach 1994 Flair vs Hogan
Wasn’t the chair barrage a call back to the time he did a similar thing to the Hardys
I was shocked when fans where cheering for Roman. They should have went with that plan and in the coming 2015 Royal Rumbel they should have Danial bayan win the Rumbel. It would not trouble Roman or Bayan. But they went the wrong way.
Suggestion: WRESTLEMANIA X
Bret vs Owen, Shawn Micheals vs Razor Ramon (ladder match), Alundra Blaze (Medusa) vs Leilani Kai... Should be a good one
Only WWE can make a beloved wrestler a hated wrestler when they’re not supposed to be hated.
could please do some ECW reviews
CM Punk was return to WWE at Survivor Series 2023!!! Today, 12/21/23
I rm this. I was like 12, this crowd pissed me off, i was a big Batista fan, they were cheering Batista the monday before. This was literally the first time he was boo'd. It was Batista's comeback story, and no one cared, they only wanted Daniel, which pissed me off bc i cared more for Batista than Daniel Bryan. But at Wrestlemania it was indeed the right call to have DB win. But as a punishment for this Rumble. They had the 2015 rumble
