I hope the park uses some of the money from the new fees to improve the signage along the A.T. in the park. It is below standard for the other sections of the A.T. It is difficult to read with being really close. The boards look like pieces of driftwood.
I'm embarrassed to say i don't think I've ever been here. I made it a goal this year every time I come to do one outdoors thing like this

I went last month and let me tell you it is a bit of a walk up to get there. I seen a few people come down halfway through.

@@bubbascruise yeah I read comments about it and thougt these people are just out of shape. My heart was pounding and I had a hard time breathing but I made it.😂
before the 7 mile road. is there a place to park, and then use the 7 mile road as a warm up run/walk ?
newfound gap has parking. I would consider myself experienced in walking and running, I would not try the 7 mile run then the walk up to the dome.
This question and answer quiz overlooked one important truth. That is, the fact that this mountain was originally called kuwahi by the original occupants---the cherokee Indians who were expelled from this beautiful place against their will. 😢😢😢
