Fun fact, but Idol is the only opening that was able to get 1st place in the Global Billboard. The opening became a phenomenon and showed the true quality of Japanese music, and from this the popularity of Bling-Bang-Bang-Born began. I don’t understand people who trash the opening, because nothing shows the quality of a track like the fact that it is the only recognized masterpiece in the whole world

In the video there are some songs that doesn't have official versions on RUclips, that's why they have different views on Yt and Yt Music. Also in Renai Circulation the RUclips version that is being used for the video is a cover not the official song.
I bet people listening "Duvet" by BOA on spotify don't even know that was an anime opening. It's just became so popular lately because the song is used so many times on reels and tiktok
It was it's own song, it was licensed for Lain. It's about the same as saying that people didn't even know that Nirvana's Come as you are was featured in The Batman. They just don't need to, it wasn't written for it. I as a kid did think that Lain featuring Duvet as it's opening song was huge but I digress.
This is the best TOP 100 Openings that I've seen so far, thank you! The thing I liked the most is that you showed 2 different parts of each opening and overall, the edit was very clean.

I'm pretty sure it is because a lot of bands/ artists are under agencies which usually have more talents to manage compared to labels who can have dedicated staff for copyright purposes.
It's wild to see how high these newer series rank, JJK, Oshi no Ko, Frieren etc with being so new, guess it just shows more and more people watch anime and it being more main stream then ever. Would be interesting to see how much different the rankings would be in a decade.

Still thanks a ton for your work! additionally I'm mildly frustrated my personal favorite "inner universe" from Ghost in the shell SAC is falling just outside the top 100 at a little over 90 million across the most watched versions on youtube, youtube music, and spotify mostly due to being a bit older and having bad spotify numbers. However' its not as screwed as some others like "we are" from one piece, and all the bleach and dragonball songs due to availability on these platforms/age/localization splitting the fanbase.
