Also, pay attention to the media’s shift towards disparaging black therapists/counselors. This is the fourth “therapist” that went viral in a 12 month time span (remember FAMU taking the almost nude photo by the snake, and the one that said she was accosted by black men, and one more I don’t remember). This is an attempt to show that black men/women are not fit to be counselors/therapists. I, for one, do not believe that is their profession - there is a certain personality inherently required; Empathy. So, I don’t believe they are actually in the counseling field. It is incredibly difficult to get into the field, and they aren’t letting anyone in Willy-nilly.
However, this behavior of the woman on the video is very endemic of a mental illness. Grandiosity which points to Bipolar Schizophrenia. And Cluster B (especially Narcissistic Personality Disorder); and the need to act out/emasculate their potential suitors.
In summation; I strongly doubt they are helping professionals, and more closer to actual patients/clients. It’s easy to tell.
How can you expect someone to take you to a top tier restaurant and y’all just met?? There is a person in my life that mirrors this woman completely, even down to the slow talking. In video it doesn't do what they expect. In person, they hope you can't wait for them to finish talking and cut them off so they can say "you keep cutting me off". I always tell this person to "stop with the slow talk" or "the slow talk doesn't make you right". These types of women, they follow and try to put on an appearance of some type of ideals they see online. Even to the point where they are making bad decisions about important things because they want to look like the dusty sprinkle lady or someone similar. They are also almost always vague and manipulative about every interaction no matter how small, simple things become problems. and they never take accountability. It's always "you're wrong or we both wrong but you caused it" for them when they get checked on anything. If you are in a situation with a person like this, it's best to keep all communication to a minimum and be completely direct with everything you say. And all questions with everything they say. You'll find nothing these types of people say holds up past 2 questions

Also, if you do have someone in your life that is similar to my other comment, there's a book named stop walking on eggshells by I think Paul t Mason and someone else that speaks about people with a certain personality disorder and how to deal with them. The same apply with these kinds of people so it's a good read that may give you tools to help dealing with these people.

My husband and I ate ramen while watching bootlegged anime on his pc while dating. Its all we could afford. Now he is a DoD Contractor, and Im a logistics admin in Alaska. We bought our Ford Expedition and GMC Sierra cash...and we still eat ramen while watching anime because we loved those dates.
