This could of been hours and hours long, Could listen to his story's all day long, wish him all the best and hope to hear him in the comedy booth at north west 200. Thanks! 👊
Fabulous Steve is always fantastic in conversation I remember goin to those transatlantic races have great memories Dave Aldana and his skeleton suit spring to mind that caused some chatter at the time .One of the greatest jokers of all time we need more like him a great guy and that film must get made I could listen to Steve for hours and I remember being impressed whenever I saw his blue Roll's in the carpark at race meetings so cool they were really high flyers back then luv it . Cheers guys 👌👍
Agreed on all fronts, CM and can picture Dave Aldana now, iconic leathers! I’d have liked longer with Stavros but he’s a busy man. We’ll do another one later in the year all being well 🤞🏼
Loved this interview , I worked at Oulton from 79 to 84 as a groundsman , and drove one of the old land rovers on a Tuesday and Thursday for general practice recovery . The transatlantic was amazing I have a few photos somewhere of Barry Sheene , Ron Haslam , mick grant , Dave potter bless him , Randy mamola , Freddie Spencer , Kenny Roberts , Charlie Williams in the 250’s such great times apart from all the bales got set alight before the race day ! So many memories . Senna , piquet stefan johanson, jonathon palmer etc too !
I’ve been lucky enough to have been to one of Steve’s nights and it was brilliant And once again a brilliant interview so many great stories out there with all the riders
@@OffTrack_Podcast your doing a great job I believe you interviewed Luka Hopkins my friends son was in British talent cup but this year running in the new 400 Kawasaki series🤞
@@dannyhampshire9077 Yeah at Silverstone a couple of years ago, a great kid that’s not had it easy. Huge shame about Dick but hopefully he’s making some progress, bless him.
Another brilliant interview, thank you Dave.great to reminisce about all these stories from when I first started following our great sport.looking foreward to the next one.thanks again
Had a tour of the TT circuit with Steve this year. What a guy. Incredibly funny, so many stories. He even bought us all a beer in the Sulby as well. Top bloke. 👌🏻
what a life this man is having, and I can see why he loves a springer spaniel they are full of life and mischief, and yes I did laugh through most of this🤣🤣
Steve briefly mentions the AGV Nations Cup run at Donington Park, a memorable, one off, superb, star studded event. Great comments about the impossibility of translating eras, Mick Grant once rode an ex Stan Woods TT winning Velocette and equaled Stan's time of back in the day. Stan was there and congratulated Mick on doing so, Mick though was in awe of Stan as the tyres he rode with were so much better and the circuit less bumpy and faster.
What fantastic Guy love he’s stories grate interview & early 80s used to go to Cadwell watch the Transatlantic racing with Dad& Mum have some grate photos too & Video footage too & Oilvers mount too looking forward to the next one he was Part of that 👍
Cheers Dave, Steve is always a great story teller and, as important, is as pleasant in person. Last saw Steve last year, he said then when we spoke about life, I don't give a ..... As per his comment in your great interview. 👍
Well done Dave. What a handfull Steve Parrish must have been in his heyday! You got a back handed comment from Matt Roberts on the latest Chasin the Racing.Ive always given your content a like, and try to post a reply to help with the RUclips gods.keep up the good work mate.
Thanks a lot, Paul 🙌🏼 hahaha I caught Matt’s comments on CtR, it’s nothing less than I expect from him - I’d be disappointed if it was anything more 😁 bloody great fella and a man who has been a big help to me with little words of encouragement and direction here and there 🙏🏼
@@OffTrack_Podcast Hi Dave.Glad to hear from you.I saw Pat Hennen died in the MCN.Steve Parrish never mentioned it in the interview about Barry Sheenes rivals but he was like Rossi when it came to digging out his competitor's. When Pat Hennen was signed tothe factory Suzuki squad Barry Sheene said in his weekly column "if you pay peanuts you get monkeys!".I wS at Brands Hatch when Pat won everything and Barry nearly high-sided coming onto bottom bend. Its all water under the bridge now but I think he could have been a world champion if he hadn't had crashed in the TT
Renault Turd. 😂 Brilliant. Even the stories I'd heard him tell before are still funny with the way he tells them. He must have an endless list. I can only begin to imagine the one's he can't tell. 😂

Re the Barry Sheene movie Nicholas Hoult could pull it off I reckon
Keanu reeves would do that movie for free
Met him one time behind the cameras.... and thankfully not again. Not a very nice person in reality.
I respect your opinion and can only speak as I find - over the years he’s always been ok with me. Shame your experience isn’t the same.
