  • "Big" Steve Parish, Guitar Tech and Good Friend to the Late Great Jerry Garcia. Steve was the only one other than Jerry allowed to touch Tiger for many years. He knows this guitar inside and out. It was a true pleasure to see him with the guitar again. It was just like two old friends seeing each other for the first time in several years. Thank you so much Steve for the information about the guitar. I'm so glad I was there and able to capture this. Thanks to Team Peavy for making it happen. Jake and Luke Peavy, Thomas Fowlkes, Ben Jernigan and the rest of the gang.

Dragon was stolen a long time ago and by the hand of muse returned to Pete some 35 years later. Also very beautiful. Would love to see them side by side.

Thanks for this. There was only one important conversation occurring in the place and only one person to listen to.

I think this is being held at one of the Family members house, I know he mentions "Your dad's bass" when referring to one Phil's kids in the room. So for people asking why people didn't be more quiet, it's likely a house party and Im sure some of those people had heard those stories before, but in defense of the conversation, YES, respect that guitar when it's out of it's case!
Also, super cool to think this guitar started with a check for $200.
    Now that's some appreciation!

The girl with the heels and glass of wine seems interested through the whole thing though. Either she is family or loved Jerry or the Dead as much as me! I need me a girl like that...

Look. If you won't sell it to me to make sure it gets to a museum then please pay it forward and leave it to a museum. It is a perfect guitar. It is also blessed as a liberation upon seeing. So please Jim, just make sure it gets to a museum in a safe area where lots of beings can see it

Doug Irwin used to work at Alembic. As it turns out, according to Alembic, my 74 Series One guitar was built by Doug.

correction parish, jerry did not say in his will both of my guitars go to irwin, what in fact he did write is this
    FIFTH -- GUITARS
I give ALL my guitars made by DOUGLAS ERWIN, to DOUGLAS ERWIN, or to his
    estate if he predeceases me
a wee bit different particularly when the grateful dead corporation claimed that those guitars were not jerry's to give away, a farce, there were 5 irwin guitars not 2

Note the language: "ALL my guitars made by DOUGLAS ERWIN" This is a compound phrase. "My guitars" means guitars that I own. " made by DOUGLAS ERWIN" means those made by Doug Irwin.

    • @jameskellinger8314
      @jameskellinger8314 5 лет назад

The 2 Travis Beans. The first one he played, which I saw him play in Columbus Ohio, at The Ohio Theater at a Garcia Band show in like 1976, was a white Travis Bean Artist completly stock. Later you would see him play a modified TB500.

Sure, Steve Parrish is holding Tiger and giving a history lesson on it, but I'd rather stay in the kitchen and talk politics/sports. Wtf is wrong with all them folks in the background?!

It was a party to begin with. And turned into an impromptu lecture about Jerry and Tiger. I thought I better catch this while I can. The dialogue is annoying but I’m glad to have the event preserved.

The people talking are in a different room. Use your brain. It's a party, there is other stuff going on.
