I did something similar- Ruger American predator (18"") in a MDT LSS gen2 chassis with an MDT folding adapter and a Magpul SL-K stock. Topped it off with an illuminated Leupold Mark 3 4-12x40. After polishing the bolt it runs as smooth as my Tikka T3 and the total weight with scope and mag is 8lbs 4oz. What is your rig weighing in at?

Those aren’t “Remington pattern magazines”, they are AICS magazines, first used on Accuracy International rifles, namely, the AE rifle and their chassis system. Later it was adapted by Badger Ordinance to work with 700 and other bolt action rifles.

I'd say the cleaning kit and extra mags are excessive for hunting. A bore snake is fine for the field and maybe an ammo "wallet"
I don't believe I have ever brought a cleaning kit or an extra mag on a hunt.
I love this channel but this was a horrible commercial and a little...ok, a lot... more detail should go into researching what you are talking about. The most important message was the last phrase, train often. You nailed that.
