Nope. Every single one of these need to be an Ecto. It disgusts me that the owner of this one has made no progress towards converting this vehicle to its perfect, optimal, predestined state. I’ve already got my eyes on two of these machines for sale near me… I can already see it. Light bars on the top, Proton Packs in the back. Us true Ghostbusters fans will not stop until every one of these cars is scrapped, totaled, or converted into a Ghostbusters Ecto-1. It’s simply inevitable. Resistance is futile…

As much as I love the Ecto 1, that’s too nice and just enough off to not turn into an Ecto. Honestly, I wish they’d do what they do with Jeeps, and make a composite 1959 MM body for people’s Ectos. I’d even try my hand at conversion if they did that.
Agreed, It's sad to see originals converted into another ecto-1 clone.

Harris Funeral Home Services in Abbeville , South Carolina still up and running as of this day. Wonder why they didnt hold on to it, preserve it or restore it? Im good at straightening and smoothing out stainless body trim if youre in the Socal area which it appears you are. Any updates or do you still own this massive Caddy?

I took. My Emergercy Vehicle Operators test in a 1962 S and S park a row.I could get 125 Mph out of it quick.This one HAS THAT Caddy rumble sound.Oh yeah!

I find it interesting that the interior (rear) was virtually identical to the 1959 Miller-Meteor combination with the baby blue and white panels. As long as it takes, I hope the owner is able to restore/preserve it as is.
~ Note the odd rear seat arraignment. One facing the window . Maybe that worked for treating the patient ?

20 years ago, these were cheap. I bought a 1960 Cadillac S&S Victoria for 2000. It needed ALOT of work but pulled itself around the yard on flopping flat tires and no brakes. I always preferred the S&S of these years, the back door for the bumper, not the flat looking door on the others with a filler panel.

I would love to own that car so I can turn it into another Ecto-1. But I would put in a new engine and transmission so I wouldn't worry about driving it long distances.

@@okman2233 Something that gives people mixed views IMO, but I actually kinda like the stock Miller-Meteors as they give me that "Goth/Adams family" feeling whenever I look at a standard 59, one such example is Avril Lavigne's "I Feel In LoveWith The Devil" music video, where she is seen driving one. But I also kinda like the Ecto too, interesting that 59s weren't sold in that nice white... Sorry Ghostbusters logo, I prefer the white and those red taillight fins (is that what they are called?), but I guess that Cadillac is all about them fins?🤷🏼♀️
