I love how minimal your workflow is! beautiful!! I want one now!
Always check the used section of Camera Quest just in case. When he says it’s mint it really is like new. May save a few dollars
Nice flash. I use the Godox Lux Senior, the Lux Masters baby brother, on my vintage film cameras. It does a great job for me and yes, lots of fun.
Seeing people light up (pun intended) with excitement is awesome!!
Loved the video. Joyful unboxing. your own new genre!
😂😂😂 can you imagine me going to unboxing videos!
My Godox Lux Master arrived about 5 mins ago. The X3 yesterday. I’m as excited as you now!
Just for the nostalgic memories alone, I'm definitely gonna buy this.
See, that’s what I was thinking exactly!! Then the thing actually was amazing. Can’t wait to do a full shoot with it
Been waiting for this video. I've been dying to know how these flashes work and there's practically nil out there on the web
Love the retro styling.
Is that a replaceable battery?
nice. I watched a video yesterday of a guy showing it, but not one shot taken with it. then it's hard to tell :) but you almost convinced me, that I just have to have it! I believe fun is a big part in every work we do and when the equipment adds to it -> welcome :D GN is 26, so its I guess not as bright as an AD100, but I think, looking at your pics, its fully okay
I never even looked at what the GN was. Just thought fun. But I will be doing a longer shoot with this very soon.
Great review ... just put it in my bucket. ;-)
Bought one a few days ago as a travel light since the more self contained stuff I take through TSA the better. Did a few test runs with objects I was surprised how well it did
I was surprised too! When you see it, really does seem gimmicky but wow! And the build quality is really nice
Mine arrived 2 days ago and it is just awesome, bit more practice with it and head out to do some street photos with it ..
Enjoy! You will have a blast with this. It’s also a great conversation piece
That looks like something I need, been looking for a of camera Flash for a while to use with with my m
It’s a lot more solid than I thought it would be
Sorry for the unrelated question but do you/how do you utilize super wides in your work? Both Leica and Nikon have some of their very best lenses at 20/21mm but Ive struggled to find a ton of stuff outside of landscape and buildings that's compelling. Oh also totally support buying stuff that's fun to use. I have several mechanical keyboards for my job typing into an 80 character wide text editor all day. Not at all necessary, but worth it no doubt.
Get creative with your angles and bring in your surroundings for the wides. Remember that you will be creating your own style/inspiration.
@@kaskoPhoto so what youre saying is buy a 21 SEM and figure it out by practicing, right? :D
This seems fun to use with smaller cameras!
It is a lot of fun.
great video
Thank you!
How is it different from the normal flashes out there? How is it out of a room with white walls and low ceilings. As an event photographer, these the type of questions I have and have yet to see anyone produce a video on real life usage in the wild. I keep hearing how, "Fun" this flash is, without some real reviews behind it.
It’s a flash that is unique and as shown in the video produced nice light. It’s not made to replace a workhorse flash. It provides a unique alternative or addition to the traditional. And sometimes fun trumps everything else in our way to serious world of analytical reviews - from creators who don’t use this equipment in the real world anyway.
I remember this type as my first flash. You had to push a new bulb in the centre each time you flashed……1 bulb 1 photo!!!
Yes!! They had the electric contacts then later (when the new tech came in) we had the “Magic Bulbs” that just need a strike on the flint stick to make them go off. No power!! Oooh
Godox are really doing an awful lot right. Imagine getting asked to shoot a yesteryear-themed event and having that. I can see recommendations starting as soon as it's out...........I can see the fun too.
Wow that would be great. But it really is as functional as fun!
I've really gotta stop watching your videos, John. You're costing me a small fortune :-(
But I don’t feel guilty about this one! This much fun is therapy.
