Spock later says about V’ger, “Its knowledge has reached the limits of this universe…” That line infers that V’ger explored the entire universe before returning to Earth. There’s no telling what wonders he saw in their mind meld. It’s truly mind blowing to think about.
@MetaTrek Well, the planet Vulcan is supposed to be a hot planet.Maybe they have cactus plants with Payote, so that would answer the question I imagine. 😵💫
Nice. This is TMP If they went all in. The potential of ST post TOS and element of TOS lost in the movie Kahn and forward and especially missing in TNG
@@joe9739 I definitely agree. It's a topic I've wanted to do a video on actually. The second video I published on Meta Trek was about how characters from TMP (and Phase II) influenced certain TNG characters. The graphic I created for the beginning of that video was what I used to create the bulk of this video, coincidentally!
I hate to be negative, because I have really enjoyed your other videos, but submitting to this eerie AI "art" trend is not one that I'm a fan of. Algorithms have many genuine uses, especially scientifically, but I personally don't think it should ever intersect with art. To quote Captain Kirk: "There are certain things men must do to remain men."
Fair enough. There is, however, still a lot of human work that goes into making a video like this. I created the original artwork, prepped it, curate the usable material, and then edit it together and set it to music. The AI offers the one thing that I can't do, which is essentially creating CGI animation. Thank you for your honest feedback, I really do appreciate it!

Very well put. It was a mind meld that changed Spock forever!
The sensor…must have some special meaning.
I must try to mind meld with it. . . Aaaaarhh!!!
Perhaps the most surreal scene in all of Star Trek!
@@MetaTrek Watch it frame by frame and it's a massive spoiler. 😁
I do just that in the video I linked to in the end screen!
@@MetaTrek Oh, that's right! I remember that video now. ❤️
Take it this is AI generated imagery
Wow!
This is totally different!🙂
Thanks, I had a ton of fun making it!
@@MetaTrek
It looks like fun 😄
I'm just trying to figure out what is going on through Spock's mind.
Kind of.
Psychedelic😳😵😵💫🤯
Maybe it was some type of Vulcan psychedelic he took during his Kolinahr ritual.

TMP definitely had a unique vibe that captured the potential of _Star_ _Trek_ post-TOS, while retaining elements of the original series.
@@MetaTreki think TNG's first season retained abit of it. Very surreal, atmospheric. I think Roddenberry was the common thread there.

The screenplay can only say so much in a movie!I would say,the book Star Trek, the motion picture probably, says more?😊
Roddenberry's novelization certainly does fill in some of the gaps, and even has a couple of bombshell revelations!
