Barbershops are rising their prices by the day in my area, so today i cut my own hair for the 1st time using this tutorial. Bro this tutorial was AMAZING, showed each step in detail without making it complicated and my cut came out clean as hell THANK YOU BRO U OUT HERE SAVING LIVES

I'm trying to grow my hair out from a skin fade to get here currently and it's killing me, I just feel like I look really dirty and scraggly. from all the videos on modern mullets your hair type and texture is closest to mine - so what do you reckon a good length would be before I get that first cut?

Okay but my inquiry in regards to this mullet vid is, as I’ve fantasized about having one and at least in my head I look like a male model on the cover of GQ - butttt, JUST INCASE, say either I mess up or it just doesn’t look how I’ve envisioned on me in my mind… couldn’t you totally just say screw it and clean up the “party” and basically just give yourself the run of the mill traditional taper fade to the rescue???

If you eat a lot of eggs your hair grows quick . I’ll quit cigarettes and eat protein when I get a bad hair cut and have a full Afro in 2 weeks.

I want to do this one myself however I have never cut my own hair before, do you think that this could be a doable first cut?
I say do it but with good clippers. It’s important not to go cheap with them, because it does make a difference. When I first started cutting my own hair I was using slightly higher guards like a level 2 and up so that the lines wouldn’t be so noticeable. You’ll get better with practice.

I honestly think I messed up cutting my hair into a mullet! 😭 the sides feel ticklish and the back looks ok but idk what to do with the front either rock a bowl cut mullet or i have to put a lot of gel to slick it back!

I grew my hair mid length and then used a #2 guard on the sides in a C shape and left it like that, looked pretty good, but then I used the blending shears to blend in the line a little and I fucked it up somehow and put a bald line just below where the disconnect is 😂you live and learn I suppose

My hair is naturally coarse and wavy, especially when it gets long it’s a bit uncontrollable at times.

Never fading again. Should've just used a 2 guard and blended with scissors like I normally do.
alright i fixed it. still obvious weight lines but fixed the rest; debulked the back, cut some off the top and blended the sides, shaved the edges. it looks neater. maybe a bit too subtle so i think i'll shave further behind the ears next time and let the back grow into a proper mullet.
