Tay H in court, often times kids will go to the mother. This is because there is a track record of guys being abusive in a relationship, so often times guys will be seen as second class parents. Kinda like how women are always seen as hyper emotional when that is not the case for most women. So, because of this idea, most of the times when talking about an abusive relationship, people hear the word and assume that it’s happening to the girl and that’s why men are treated unfairly in a court case. This song finally talks about what it’s like for a guy to be in a abusive relationship.

I've always liked this song but it was only recently that I could somewhat connect to its' message. A friend of mine quoted the lyric "The more you suffer, the more it means you really care". I came back and listened to this song afterward and everytime I think about this song I think about the past year or so of my life. There was a girl I liked who told me she liked me and we talked everyday. For the first time in years I had a semblance of self esteem. I moved back to my home state to ask her out and she got with somebody else instead. I could go into more detail but basically, she kept saying she liked me and wanted to hang out and even go out with me if she wasn't dating but I was treated more as an online therapist than anything else. Now whenever I hear this song, I think of her.

I remember when I got the tape of this, had to lift it. Wish I still had it. Funny, that's how I got all my offspring music, almost got caught lifting Korn's Issues tape, so I had to wait for parts of it to play on the radio and try to rerecord over some shitty country tape I found in one of the many abandoned cars in the back yard. Off for more Offspring and Korn now I guess since insomnia has set in.
People always complain they miss the 90s and its music and the whole scene, but do nothing to change that. I know for sure that I wanna change that, I want to break this era back, revive punk rock. Anyone feel me/support me?
You mean bring back rap etc...? There was a lot of good stuff back then, I'm a 90's kid and my favourite bands are from the 90's, but those bands are mostly still around... I don't really care if they're not as popular as they once were. There was also plenty of crap back then, let's not forget that, there was and always will be... But there's still good stuff around too, you just can't rely on what the media feeds you.
The town I used to live in is where the guy who created KoolAid was from, so they had a KoolAid Festival every summer (which was basically just a crappy street fair but you could pay like five bucks for a cup and then drink unlimited KoolAid for the rest of the day, which was pretty awesome for ten-year-old me), and one year my older sister was the KoolAid Man. She used to listen to this sort of music in high school before she got lame and started listening to country rap music (yuck). Sorry, you don't care. Just thought I'd share this

Great music. I wish today's music could be like this.
Rhett-oe Link-oe a lot of today’s music IS like this or atleast similar. T Swift isn’t the only modern artist out there
GlitterTrollz, what on earth are you talking about? This type of music isn't prevalent at all nowadays? Marilyn Manson is da shit tough.
That's how I used to be last year.
You can find some really great modern rock music if you just open your eyes and stop complaining honey 😂
Shut the fuck up
Its the ideas you like

I like how this band gives life lessons and advice in their songs.
I feel this.
georgea i feel it like I would a bayonet to the chest.. Same pain level too
r.i.p momma i wish i could have seen you again before i turn 18 but i will always hold you close in my heart, ill always think of you when i listen to the offspring. i love you. i wish they didn't tear us apart
If you need to talk to someone. I'm here
+MoodysReviews If it's any consolation, stumbling upon this comment is helping me get over my own sadness as well - I'm having a similar issue. Thanks for sharing and I feel your pain. It's screwed up how messed up a guy can get over a girl, but this is life and I just have to remember there's somebody else out there for me! :) This song's been really helping me out the past week.
I'm having a similar thing but the girl lives 20 minutes away from me. I don't understand what I've done to deserve this.
My local radio station used to play this song on loop when they were a modern rock station in the 90s
Now they’re an “alt-rock” station and play this song on loop
Got dumped two days ago, she cheated on me for 2 months and said IT WAS MY fault we broke up... This song describes the realtionship perfectly... Threw a lot away to be with her.
Fuck that crazy ass women manipulation bullshit.
Derik Barnhart you're so right

Derik Barnhart

Taylan Acar tamam
I will always remember the beginning of this song as the song I only got to hear the first part of before my mom changed the station.
Used to be my favorite song on Guitar Hero, then hearing this banger again on the radio today. Love the nostalgia!
They totally got the lyrics wrong, it's supposed to go "Mob mob mob mob mob, mob mob angry angry". I don't know how they got the lyrics this messed up tbh.
Am I the only non 90's kid that grew up with this music n still listens to it??
I was 1 year off from the 90's but I still grew up with it from my parents always playing this stuff
+yorgishAMVs yess, exactly *high five
Rose Marie no you are not. No one cares that you hate Taylor Swift and ed sheeran
I used to listen to this with my dad on the radio and i heard it today and i just had to search it up, this song is great
Love the drums in this song.
Definitely favorite Offspring song.
mpraf kai...STA TREEEENA
ΜΠΡΑΦ ΡΕ ΜΑΛΑΚΕΣ!
I love this song.
I was a little too young to relate to the story, but ten year old me really loved the exuberance of the song.
shit this song got me right in the feels
Why , can you relate ?
verapamil07 empathy, and it just seems that there is one girl to many who seem to enjoy hurting man who love them, but oh well i guess it's a two way street...

It's kind of hard when she's ready to go.. pun intended?!
gen5honda never noticed it like that but now that you put it like that you might be right
Hahahahaha that's awesome
gen5honda yeah lol
I know i should say no. It's kind of hard when she's ready to go. Yeah, I of the many clever lines in the song.
Pretty sure it's only like that
When he said " I'm just a sucker with no self esteem"
I felt that
Oh how this brings back so many memories of High School!
Off for more Offspring and Korn now I guess since insomnia has set in.
nahh dude, you can't just steal things, that's personal, just start downloading, that's better and still free
Coco van Ree
I couldn't download much on 56k back then..lol
Coco van Ree thats still stealing
Zachary Carr true, however I find it to be very much in the spirit of rock to swipe a tape,to enjoy true undeniable american freedom
Wish I had the tape now more than ever, my car's antenna is fucked and I only have a tape deck in my car.
People always complain they miss the 90s and its music and the whole scene, but do nothing to change that. I know for sure that I wanna change that, I want to break this era back, revive punk rock. Anyone feel me/support me?
Bring* omg
I feel ya. I'm trying to write punk music but it's hard. It always comes out as something sounding really upbeat and.... Weird....
in college I want to start a punk rock band
or at least find a punk rock band that needs a vocalist lol
You mean bring back rap etc...? There was a lot of good stuff back then, I'm a 90's kid and my favourite bands are from the 90's, but those bands are mostly still around... I don't really care if they're not as popular as they once were. There was also plenty of crap back then, let's not forget that, there was and always will be... But there's still good stuff around too, you just can't rely on what the media feeds you.
This song has enough oh yeahs to be called the ballad of the koolaid man
I got an image in my head. it's not pretty. Kool aid man should not be singing this song.
Better then yuh
The town I used to live in is where the guy who created KoolAid was from, so they had a KoolAid Festival every summer (which was basically just a crappy street fair but you could pay like five bucks for a cup and then drink unlimited KoolAid for the rest of the day, which was pretty awesome for ten-year-old me), and one year my older sister was the KoolAid Man. She used to listen to this sort of music in high school before she got lame and started listening to country rap music (yuck).
Sorry, you don't care. Just thought I'd share this
If kool aid man drank kool beer
UNDERRATED COMMENT
I haven't listened to this song in like 4 years. I couldn't even remember the name of it until I looked it up but the first second of the second I paused it and it all came flooding back to me..
I love the bass in this song.
check out The Decline by Nofx, he just goes insane during the bridge and it's pretty rad through the whole song.
