sir this is best video on RUclips in like a decade. Loop it for ten hours and put some Valhalla vintage on it with a 7ms tail at like 35% mix and I alone will listen to it a billion times
Great job man. Fullmoon_Slate+Ash Landforms instant lushness. Have to make an honorable mention of good old Carbon/Carbon 2_Native Instruments Reaktor, so many late 90's/early 00's DnB intros in there... I guess I'd show off too if I had a Prophet X, you are forgiven.
Heaven on a Sunday evening :) Are these all just some of the factory presets? Was there much tweaking with them or are they all "right out the box"? Great video. Appreciate being able to see which notes you're playing as well. I'll have to get the D-05 back out the cupboard and do some noodling.
After many years of hate and misunderstanding, people are finally putting all the negative marketing towards ROMplers aside and realize just how beautiful and powerful they are...Just got me an EX5R as prices are climbing again and looking to score an XV-5080 before they really explode.
@@RedMeansRecording, while I dearly loved your documentary about ROMpler pads (and I dearly love ROMpler pads themselves), I believe this particular video sent me into ROMpleshock, and I am currently undergoing treatment at the Betty Ford Clinic where they are weaning me off of looped 16-bit samples and washes of reverb by adminstering a strict regimen of dubstep growls.
Thanks to this playing in the background and an unhealthy amount of caffeine, I was able to finish my taxes. Jeremy, you are a gem.
Now this is a great video idea!
The one at 1:37:50 is giving off major Star Trek TNG vibes... I feel like that sound is in every single episode.

There were many chord progression that I expected to resolve into Laura Palmer's theme. Not delivered tho :(
Haha yeah it's all very close
After watching your rompler love letter first, I appreciate this even more

time to figure out how to route youtube directly through supermassive for some extra ambience
but mono and decimort it before
More than once, I found myself thinking, "Oh, yeah, so that's what Tangerine Dream used on those songs I loved so much back in the 80's and 90's! "
I have so much shit to get done today and this is perfect background for focus work

All just presets
OMG the feels...it's like travelling back in time. The warm tingly sensation when some of those patches swell...whooo!
These all sound great, but the D-50 just hits different.
To be fair, each one of them has unique character...
@24:45 I see someone has played Masters of Orion. :)
(I still have the soundtrack to that game sitting in my music collection.)
Love the proteus 2000 pads
The rompler revolution is coming!

This is lovely, thank you.

This all gets me thinking, where do we ever need any syncopated beat? Just lay down some rompler pads and float away. I’m already there.
