I suppose it’s been years since you’ve posted this but I appreciate it. I have stretched, wrapped, elevated, done everything I possibly can until I get to the podiatrist but THIS FINALLY gave me relief
No worries at all. I am glad it was helpful. We have a free plantar fasciitis course if you want sign up. education.nkactive.co.uk/register/plantarfasciitis/ Nick
It will not change how much the foot supinates (rolls out words) or pronates (roll in) the aim is to reduce the tensile load through the plantar fascia and help compress and off load the fat pad. It makes the foot feel very supported
Zinc oxide tape, 3.8cm width. It is rigid tape, as long as it put on with any cream on the foot it tends to stay on and stick until you change in a couple of days later. If you need you can get the tape here nkactive.co.uk/product/zinc-oxide-tape-3-8cm-width/ Or nkactive.co.uk/product/zinc-oxide-tape-3-8cm-width-3-pack/ Thanks Nick

Why do you go medial to lateral for the first two strips
To pronate the forefoot to help engage the windlass mechanism and take the load off the plantar fascia.
Then lateral to compress the fat pad
Absolute instant relief !
Thank you 😭
Glad it helped!
How do you keep tape from pulling skin off the top of your foot?
You can use somethings like hypafix or mefix on the top or leave the top bit off. It in only there to stop it catching on socks
Soak your foot in water
Can i run with this taping method?
Yes, there is no reasons why you can't as along as symtpoms allow
does this help to heal the plantar fasciatus
This can help as part of a treatment process, however it is rare that one treatment on it's own will help solve plantar fasciitis
Hey mate, does this essentially stop your foot from supinating?
