What i finds "super human" about old composers is they had their music in the head and then wrote notes. No human today can do that with so many instruments at same time.

In this case, I think of it as Salieri wishing so hard that he composed at least one of Mozart's pieces that (in his old age and failing mind) he convinced himself he wrote this, but being as hard on himself in Mozart's shadow as he was, imagined writing a dumbed down version of Mozart's work.
