Similar to the last stage, the enemies here are extremely brutal for this point in the game, this time with two sections that deal with groups of enemies with particularly nasty suicide bullets. You need to both know and understand where enemies’ll show up so you can take them out as soon as possible, but when dealing with the previous groups you’ll also need to know the best moments to hold your fire as well so you don’t get buried under a sea of bullets
Satano as a mid-boss is only troublesome if you try to take her attack on head-on. Zip up at her to escape her wave soon as you can and you’ll make your life much easier.
Like I said before in Stage 2 with the practice for multiple attacks coming at you at once, that’s what this fight against Mai and Satano is all about. In almost the entirety of the fight you need to focus on one attack then quickly figure out how to safely ignore it while you focus on a different attack that’s coming right after it.
    Difficulty - Normal
Character - Magician Shivering in the Arctic Cold: Marisa Kirisame
    Stage 5 - Ushirodo-no-Kuni
BGM - Does the Forbidden Door Lead to This World, or the World Beyond?
Boss - All-Too-Dangerous Backup Dancers: Satono Nishida & Mai Teireida
    BGM - Crazy Backup Dancers
    Spell Cards
    1:20 - Non-spell
    4:18 - Non-spell
4:34 - Bamboo Sign "Bamboo Spear Dance"
    4:47 - Non-spell
5:07 - Myoga Blessing "Behind You"
    5:18 - Non-spell
5:44 - Dance Sign "Behind Festival"
    6:04 - Mad Dance "Tengu-Odoshi"

Everyone's talking about the missing spells, so I'll explain why. The first two spells pf this boss fight are determined by who's healthbar you complete first. The second two spells you face are "combination spells" - the third spellcard being a combined version of the two possibilities for card 2 and the last card being a combination of the 2 variations of spellcard 1.
Speaking of the missing spells, you actually have one of them listed in the description, but the timestamp goes to a nonspell. And then you have the wrong spell names for every spell after that. I wasn't expecting this.
Wanda and Cosmo jokes aside, there's a reason that Satono & Mai wear pink and green respectively, and it's _not_ for the same reason as Satori & Koishi. As we learn later, Satono is in charge of managing lifeforce while Mai handles spirit power. They are literally life and bomb dancers, and they could be the reason you get 1UPs and bombs in all the games.
Finally, it seems my Steam copy of HSiFS got an update of some sort and I have _no_ idea what it did. No explanation!

Oh man I always forget how much I love that stage theme, it's both mysterious enough and positive enough for my taste.
Also remember when we all thought HSiFS would have 3 final bosses because of the jewel case art? Good times. Still if this is how Mai's and Satono's (Satano) theme sounds when they're together I kind of wonder how their individual themes would sound like.

Fun fact: in Cirno and Aya's routes, for being defeated by a Fairy and ESPECIALLY for being defeated by a Tengu, Okina calls them to give them "The scold of their lives". Also, Aya's route is the only one they talk about scaring Aya away with the Tengu Odoshi (name-dropping their last card).
As for this stage: FUCK IT TO HELL. I swear to god, the suicide bullets at the start and right before the duo made me develop anger issues. Also, I bombed the fuck out of their fight, especially Behind Festival (although I hate Satono's "Behind You" card more than Mai's "Tanabata Star Festival").
Also, I like that Mai, dressed in green, and Satono, dressed in pink, drop a Bomb and a Life when defeated as mini-bosses (which also ties into what they draw when dancing: Mai draws spiritual energy, while Satono draws vitality)

Remember when I said I ran out of commentary on Releasing? Yeah, nevermind, I forgot about this stage.
_Hoo boy,_ welcome to paradise. Revenge patterns, high bullet density, even lasers! This place is absolute paradise and that's probably the point. If you have learnt to properly use your release option by this point, you'll actually know when to best use it. As for Autumn, you'll be aiming to take advantage of the revenge patterns. Always be mindful of how much dash time you have though! You don't want to dash against a bullet right after you ran out of Release after all.
    ...
Also, obligatory. "Dance Sign -Behind Festival-" is bullshit. Someone had to say it. F those RNG stars.

One thing you did not show is that, depending on who you beat up during the first two cooldowns, two different spellcards would play out. Basically, you missed Satono's " Myoga Ginger "Forget Your Name" " and Mai's " Broadleaf Sign "Tanabata Star Festival" " spellcards respectively.

That looks an awkward way to tackle midboss Satono. Just stay in the middle and make small horizontal movements to dodge the green amulets. (As a side note, this pattern doesn't change much on Hard/Lunatic, resulting in the Stage 4 midboss being far harder than the Stage 5.)
