- Mr. Manish Yadav, a 52-year-old man from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, started experiencing a sudden blurriness in his left eye. Concerned, he went for several check-ups, and it was discovered that he had a condition called a full-thickness macular hole in the retina of his left eye. This condition meant there was a small break in the part of the eye responsible for clear central vision.
Hearing about his problem, Mr. Yadav's family members suggested that he should go to Eye7 Hospitals in Delhi for treatment. There, he was seen by Dr. Ashish Markan, who is a senior specialist in treating conditions related to the vitreous, retina, and uvea parts of the eye at Eye7 Hospitals.
Dr. Ashish recommended that Mr. Yadav should undergo a specific type of eye surgery to fix the problem. The surgery was called 25-G Pars Plana Vitrectomy surgery along with internal limiting membrane peeling. This surgery involved carefully removing some of the eye's vitreous gel and peeling a tiny layer off the retina to close the hole and restore vision.
To help Mr. Yadav and others understand more about the condition and the surgical procedure, Dr. Ashish also showed a nearly live demonstration of the surgery. This demonstration aimed to give a clearer picture of what happens during the surgery and how it helps in treating the condition.
A month after the surgery, Mr. Yadav returned to the hospital for a follow-up appointment. During this visit, he received some great news from Dr. Ashish. The macular hole in his eye had completely healed, and his vision and overall eye health had significantly improved. Mr. Yadav was overjoyed with the outcome of the surgery and the care he received at Eye7 Hospitals.
