Catch & Cook: Fresh Fish & Chips - Beach Fishing
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 12 сен 2024
- Join Graeme as he goes beach fishing and does a catch and cook fresh fish and chips. The fish he caught earlier in the day. He sets out on a shingle beach on the south coast of the UK. Using simple beach fishing gear, Graeme rigs up and casts out. Fishing is tough at first, but as dark comes he starts to get bites. Notable from Dogfish. We he catches, skins and cooks up with some homemade chips. He also hooks into a number of other species. Including: Bass and a PB Sole. Sole is one of the best eating fish in the UK. But Graeme decides to let this one go as he has already got a belly full of fresh fish! Thanks for watching.

"I will survive and the snowflakes won't" . Bloody love it Graeme. You remind me so much of my dad. You are a Truely lovable person mate. Great skill, knowledge, personality, comedian and a great Husband and Father. GOD BLESS TO YOU AND FAMILY Graeme. 👍👍👍👍👍
“Thanks for watching the TA fishing show...”
But there’s over three minutes left.
You know there are more fish coming!
That close up of the Pan had me reaching for the Fork...Nice one Graeme..
Guess I'm watching TA during supper
Loving these catch and cook videos. Keep it up.
Thank you. Twenty plus years ago I was a keen fisherman but I gave it up with work commitments. After watching you I have started getting some new and secondhand gear together ready to start again. Thanks again
I survive and the snowflakes won’t 😂😂 made my day that
Amazing snowflakes 👍
Ditto.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Let them melt, poor little dears, Graham is the best!
A massively under rated source of top notch protein freely available to the industrious angler UK wide. Always great to see you making the most of the doggy population. When other anglers complain about catching dog fish after dog fish I always say to them "Eat your way through the 'problem' and be grateful for the dinnertime abundance!". Awesome stuff indeed. 👍
Decades of experience & wealth of knowledge. Your common sense & ingenuity is refreshing. You utilize your craftiness to rig some odd set ups... (WHAT? you aren't BUYING it??) and behold .... it always (usually) works. What I really enjoy most is that you share what works and what fails. Oh, and how you explain why you are using a particular bait, why your fishing in a particular spot... It's like you're teaching us to think like a fish. Very informative. Love yours and Mike's channel.
The sizzling of pan making me want to go catch and eat some fish 🤤. Another great video Graeme
Graeme you missed come dancing while out fishing tonight, lucky bugger.
you make me so hungry haha watching you eating the pie at the start then fish haha great video dude
another brilliant video, great work graeme. as for the dirty towel and knife...bacteria and germs are needed to build up our immune systems, everything spotless and bleach cleaned is the reason we have so many people with allergies now. not one single kid with an allergy through my school years but my kids school was full of them.
rock salmon, it was known as when I was a kid.
924eightball still is
Brilliant fishing and cooking and the music too kept me entertained well done graham 👍🎣
I get a lot of enjoyment out of your videos. I love fishing, I don't get to do it nearly as often as I'd like to.
That must be torture Graeme for any blokes fishing near you with that aroma wafting over in that cold night air.
I wept when you let the sole go. My favorite fish.
Saute with a bit of butter, olive oil. Finish with garlic, lemon and a dash of white wine.
Difficult for me to find, fresh or frozen, in Northern California.
Really enjoy your films .keep it up .Your sense of humour always puts me in good form and I have learnt a lot from you.keep surviving my friend.all the best from the west of Ireland.
I quite enjoy videos that show me how to prepare the critters for eating. Even though I'm a thousand miles from the sea, I still like knowing.
knowledge of how to survive is what can keep you alive.
Graeme, I suspect that our ages are just a handful of days apart, so I too remember fish’n’chips in the 1950s. My mum would send me on my bike to the local chippie to buy ‘rock and chips’. ‘Rock Salmon’ was the posh term for dogfish (any type would do) in Wimbledon/Merton Park. The order was for 10d rock & 6d chips - yes, old money, being 1 shilling and fourpence - per person. For younger and overseas readers that’s £0.07 (USD0.09c) per meal That’s why my mum bought it- dogfish was way less expensive than cod or haddock. Flatfish prices were out of the question. We still had rationing when I first came into the world.
That there was cracking episode.
The sole looked like a Dover sole to me, i could be wrong.
The last time i had Rock and Chips it was terrible, it was all mushy and tasted like wallpaper paste. Lol.
Thank you for taking us to the beach, it's lovely. Best to you and yours.
Great vlog Graham. When I see you with that Ragworm, then tucking into something, I thought it was that! Thought you had gone all Bear Grils on us!
Love that fishing that mark Graeme, keep up the great videos,👍
You’ve got some get up and go for an OAP, really appreciate the extra films. Tackle shack is great!
"This could bey PB." It doesn't look like peanut butter to me... 🤣😲😁🐎💨🙉🐟
The audio on this video is really testing out my new 5.1 soundbar it sounds amazing also the way you film your videos is top notch
Brilliant , yes we used to call it Rock Salmon around our way.
Fishing is so different in th UK from the US gulf coast. Like the rig you have for supporting your rods.
It's hard fishing over here but if you're persistent and enjoy it you can reap the rewards.
Love the comment about the society we have today. Espcally about them starving because they will not know how to clean them. Great!
That's why we watch your channel to learn how to do fishing things we don't know how to do . Thank you
I had not long finished my dinner then I watched this video and suddenly became hungry again :)) Nice one Graeme...
Vinegar is a perfect addition.
Nice cook my dude👊
That sole would've cost 50 dollars at the Ritz Carlton in Boston, great vid Graeme, Merry Christmas.
What no log cooker mr pullen I was fascinated watching you cook on it so relaxing listening to the crackling of the burning wood.
Graeman never eat dogfish but in these days its a great idea to know how to clean and cook certin fish,Mick ,s channel should do a lot of videos you do regarding how to prepare fish and get them ready for eating i thi nk people will soon be looking for survival ways and you have some knowhow,im going to go over to Micks channel now to sign up so i can learn something ,you keep up the great videos you do we can learn a lot from them and i do think Micks channel is going to explode with people looking for ways to look after them selfves ill say no more. Thanks for passing on what you know.
Also the beginning photography with the rods and sunset was amazing 😉
And Billy Bass to finish..TA
Excellent Graeme You're living the the dream and you know it. Really like seeing your exploits and appreciate your effort.
Great stuff as always.Keep em coming !!
"When I went home..the wife left me.... a meal " 😂😂
No flour Graeme ? 🙄
The vinager is a must too... 😏
And... nice solemate... 😂
Nice guitar riff at the beginning...
😎👍☘️🍺
Thanks Graeme,Good video, that sole was some size well done, and you put it back top Guy...and as for the snowflakes,we are getting some like that around where I live,,they moan about my pheasants and ducks I have just had, I so wish they would stay in there towns!
Lovely to see doggie in the pan, so few take them and help reduce the numbers. Be nice to see some pout in the pan too. Though most I've had have been too small to cook, I do have half dozen portion sized pout fillet in the freezer.
Excellent thanks for sharing. Mouth was watering
Drive drive drive your boat gently down the sea. Merrily merrily merrily merrily Pollock is for tea!
Jimmy Hill back at it again
Great video, great session Graeme! The Dogfish & those spuds looked delicious! I think Mr Sole would have received an invitiation to the pan too if he was legal size! Bring back the days before Snowflakes I say! 👍👍😉😉
I just did some beach fishing yesterday home in northern Germany. I managed to catch 2 decent Cod. Thanks for uploading beach fishing videos, gotta fish in the UK someday just out of respect for you guys that invented this type of angling ;P
Great hygene regime there, Graeme. Health and Safety nightmare mate! Love your vids!
Always a joy Graeme .... Thanks
Brilliant Graham, can’t beat catching and cooking on the beach. 1950-60s Local chippy sold Dog fish (Rock Salmon) and chips always more expensive but the tastiest fish, can’t get it now unfortunately
Did my own catch and cook in my last video I had to try whiting after your video 😁👍
Brilliant video Graeme , lovely huss and chips! Thankyou😊
Jesus Graeme keep up the videos you have been posting so much lately my fav content is winter sea fishing and its everywhere thanks!
Best fishing show on the net don’t miss it guys
Blimey Graham, three of the funniest things Ive seen/heard for a long time all in one video, you have had me crying. I will survive, the snowflakes won't. Here's one for the Chef's amongst you,my hand towel covered in Dogfish Vomit..and then you eating your dinner straight from the pan. You are bloody fantastic. Thanks for freezing yourself to bring us this brilliant video :-)
What an absolute pleasure to watch. Don't worry, there won't be any Snowflakes left any way. They'll all be dead of starvation.
Graeme you are such an inspiration for real fishermen and people. Keep it up....Stop it! Stop it!
Brilliant vid Graeme been following you from up here on the north east coast for a while now ..keep the vids coming ..pmsl at the snow flakes been sick when you dropped the fish ! me !! mmmmmm
it's like being there, thanks Graeme . If we can't make it its definitely the next best thing.
Another amazing video 🌎💙
Awesome Graham, thanks for sharing love your vlogs. You crack me up and make me smile 🤣🤣🌝🌝☺️☺️🌜🌜🌜🌞🌞🌞I also love the fact that Mike TA OUTDOORS did a movie like vlog today. JoeandZachSurvival Joe does that a lot and I love the long vlogs. You do long vlogs and I learn so much. I would of loved to of learned on how to skin as you call it a "Dog Fish" Isn't that more in the family as a SHARK OR maybe we call them " Sand Shark" I'm not sure???? Maybe you could let me know. Also, you call that a
"Sole Fish" that looks very similar to either a Halibut but I think Halibut is only in Pacific Northwest of USA/Canada. Also, here in the States we have Flounder in our Oceanside. I'm in the Northeast in GOOD OLD MASSACHUSETTS. Yes my last name is Ellsworth and my Great many removed is Oliver Ellsworth. Also, distant cousin to Benjamin Franklin. That is on my ( Dad father ) Grandfather Oliver Ellsworth became a US Supreme Court Justice and also went to France to negotiate the " Peace Treaty" with them. The rest is history from there. And my ( Dad ) Mom my Grandmother s side was in the Revolutionary War. So I'm a Granddaughter of the American Revolutionary War. I'm as American as you can be. But my ancestors came from Cambridge, England (don't quote me on that one. Need to go back to my documents) and my Beautiful Mom who just left this world on September 26, 2019 @ age 68. Her heritage is from County Cork Ireland. My mom's Dad is from Tipperey(oops spelling). IDK spelling oops. Sorry for getting off course. I truly feel that I would have a blast just sitting with you and having a cup of tea and talk shop all day. Yes, I'm a woman but I love the outdoors and I love your vlogs. Hopefully, you can let me know the difference between our flat fishes and what you call a Dog fish. Now is it true that Sharks are not considered a fish? Isn't there another name for them? Please I know it's a stupid question but I thought I've heard that through the years. Thank you again Graham for sharing. Just enjoying the evening this Saturday recovering from Thanksgiving and now prepping for a major snow storm coming. Expected Sunday evening into Tuesday morning. You guys will probably get something out of all these storms we have been getting. It's been mostly rain though which I didn't mind. Snow isn't my thing anymore. Lol lol lol Oh, also do you do ICE FISHING? SORRY FOR THE BOOK IM WRITING. IM BORED THIS SATURDAY EVENING so sat down watched your vlog over a nice cup of tea. Hope all is well with you and the misses. How convenient that you mostly caught Dog Fish given you were in the dog house with the misses over you not eating dinner! Lol lol lol. Ok I'm done. Lol lol lol lol. Thank you again for sharing your journey with us. Sincerely Michelle, Pup Harley and Kitty Liam From Arlington, Massachusetts.
The first 30 seconds of this video could have been the opening scene of a Star Wars movie.
Great comment
Like some kind of bounty hunter!
Yum!
Thanks Graeme! 😁 👍
Great vid. Nice and peaceful. Felt I was there too. Well done. 😃🐟🐟👍
Totally Awsome as usual.
Great video mate
Another cracking episode Graeme, long may you reign
Love these types of videos with we could have seen you skin/ gut the Dog fish. I remember years ago i fished Seaham and was one of the first people to catch a spotty dog fish i knew how to handle it due to watching too many fishing videos 😂
Better than watching the telly
Nice video Graeme 👍🎣. Takes me back, when I lived in G.Y ( Grimsby England) 😋😋😋
Love your attitude and loved the video 👍
Great catch and cook Graham, really enjoy these type of videos.......and yes your absolutely right, you'll survive a lot longer than today's Snowflakes!!.........Best wishes......Doug ( Doushal Kennels ):
Keep them coming Graeme!👌👍🎣

That moment at 2:43 from a live rag worm view .....”OMG it’s that bloke from TA Fishing...I’m F**ked” 🐛
Nice fish Graham! My local beach gutted didn't see you. My best fish from there was also a sole. So glad you didn't reveal the location 😅
Total awesom film, i really enjoy the catch and cook.
I maintain that man Graeme takes some powerful elixir to keep him going or is it just fishing.
You would enjoy flounder fishing in the flats. You can fish for them or you can gig them like frogs. Hope you could fish the gulf coast some time in the future. Enjoy your adventures.
expat in nz ,doggies here are a rubbish fish if you,r going to eat them take the filliets off straight away or the ammonia leaks out of the cartlidge, same with all cartlidge fish. good vid..
Huss and chips yum yum good session
Besides the fun content, these videos are very nicely filmed, edited, and produced. And despite the often windy conditions, the sound quality is quite good as well. Well done!
You're the man!!
Great video, your relaxed but enthusiastic style is just great, you don't need to shout at us youtubers. I wish I hadn't sold my gear, feel the need to give it another go!!
i love it, your a down to earth REALISTIC guy.. and the snowflakes... im with ya! they can go without. tough!
One of my regular venues.
We used to do catch n cook with Pike bankside on the Scottish Lochs, nothing muddy about Loch Pike, clear waters and they live on trout....infact they taste of trout which isn't a surprise.
Love it graham great video
Another top vid , thanks Graeme 👍🏻
Absolutely love this your a legend
Another great video Graeme, you must be due to do some squid fishing in Weymouth soon 👍🏻
I'm waiting !!...Northerly wind, flat calm,cold...should be ready soon. Might be me but it seems to be running later this year.
Great Vid thanks for sharing.
