  • This is how I make my super yummy crunchy peanut burgers using the sugar syrup (I can save my eggs😂).
    Recipe:
    6 cups Raw groundnuts
    6 cups All purpose flour
    1 cup sugar (heapful)
    1 table spoon sea salt
    2 tablespoons milk flavour
    1/3 + 1/3 cups of water
    1 tablespoon beaten/whisked egg (for shinny finish)
    If you'd like to do half of this, the recipe is:
    3 cups Raw groundnuts
    3 cups All purpose flour
    1/2 cup sugar ( slightly heapful)
    1/2 table spoon (1 + 1/2teaspoon) sea salt
    1 tablespoons milk flavour
    1/3 cups of water
    1/2 tablespoon beaten/whisked egg (for shinny finish).
    Please try it out and leave a feedback🙏

    This is lovely 🌹 thanks ma'am but if shaking anticlockwise what will happen to it?

      You're most welcome, you have to keep to one direction to give the fine round shape, if you're left handed and you turn anti clock wise, please stick to that.

    Thanks for sharing this with us, please I'd love to ask, why didn't you pour hot water on your groundnut or boil for some minutes, you just use it like that?

    • @pamcakesandfoodies
      @pamcakesandfoodies  Год назад +4

      You use room temperature water. Don't pour hot water, it will m.ess it up. The groundnuts will end up too soft and not crunchy.

    Ma did you wash the groundnut with hot water or use it like that

    • @pamcakesandfoodies

      I washed with ordinary water (room temperature water) and a little salt, then drained Immediately. Don't use hot water please and don't leave it to stay long in water. Just rinse off and drain

    Ma please the final coating with egg, do i need to use flour again or just the egg??

    • @pamcakesandfoodies
      @pamcakesandfoodies  3 месяца назад +1

      No sis, just sprinkle little while you're about to pour in the hot oil, the intention is to use it to seal the flower particles for glossy finish. Understand that this is totally optional, infact I don't use the eggs ( I cannot break an egg just because I need like half a teaspoon and waste the rest) so I just use my sugar syrup (like a teaspoon) as the last thing before frying. It comes out great as well.

    And also I noticed that after frying it tends to delvelop white spots. What’s the difference in adding or not putting any baking powder

    • @pamcakesandfoodies
      @pamcakesandfoodies  2 года назад +2

      Baking powder isn't needed. Use a little egg to do the final coating. It will seal up the white spots and give it a shiny finish.

      It is best to wash away the possible dust that might have gotten to it from market.

    Please how long does the peanuts last or what can I do to preserve it for a longer time?

    • @pamcakesandfoodies
      @pamcakesandfoodies  2 года назад

      It lasts 4 weeks and maybe more. All you have to do is keep in an airtight container (away from air)

      You probably have excess flour particles on it before frying, what you can do is to coat lightly with sugar syrup or little egg just before you pour in the hot oil, this will seal up and clean the flour particles and give it a glossy finish. Remember to do this ONLY when you're ready to fry else it will gum together if you let it sit for a while.

      I don't understand your concern but I'll advise you rewatch the video, take it slowly and re try with a small quantity. Hopefully you'll get it this time. Good luck to you.

    I wish I watched this before I made mine today. I used more sugar syrup which gave me big wahala. I had to keep the peanuts away 😢. My flour finished before I said jack. I don't want to throw away the groundnuts but I don't know what to do 😭😭😭

    • @pamcakesandfoodies
      @pamcakesandfoodies  8 месяцев назад

      No, not at all, please don't soak in any water, cold, warm or hot. You should just rinse and drain immediately, then spread to air dry before coating. All the best.

      Please use a little egg (just little) to do the final coating, make sure there's no excess flour hanging around the nuts. I hope this helps.
